This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are in a situation where you goal has not been achieved. You are unsatisfied and running on empty. You may not see a way around this impasse ... but at least it has your complete attention. You may be asking yourself quite seriously, "What do I want to happen here and what does it take to make me happy?"

Additionally, you are in a situation that is sterile and unsatisfying. These are circumstances where you -- or someone influential in your situation -- is frittering away resources, wasting energy, and courting a whole roster of problems -- physical, financial, emotional, psychological.

This situation contains a serious lack of love and support. You may feel rejected, depressed, deprived, and unable to muster the energy to start anything new. This energy describes a lack of productivity, chaotic circumstances, feelings of emptiness and withdrawal, considerable pain, and the failure to use your creative talents to bring about the desired and necessary changes.

You may feel there isn't much you can to do compensate for or correct the situation -- but at least the challenge is out in the open where you can work with it consciously and directly.

You have an ally who should be able to help you work through what is happening here. This person is focused on his professional development, determined to make a successful career for himself, shows financial wisdom and savvy business sense, and knows how to achieve practical results.

He is patient, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, and resourceful. He takes pride in doing a good job ... and is both conservative and hard-working.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. This person ... or these attitudes ... have your full attention now -- and also have significant influence on your thinking and choices.

A "personality factor" is also part of the equation now, someone fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return. You have finally begun to recognize the problems this person ... or these attitudes ... cause, seeing them at last for what they are.

Alternatively: This card suggests that you need to practice more diligent self-care, be more aware of your own need for love, compassion, and emotional support. Often it comes when life and the demands of those in your relationships have exhausted your resources to the point that you need to pull back, take time out for recuperation, and replenish yourself.

You need to become your own best friend for a while ... and restore yourself to the point that you can be that for others again. This may not happen overnight ... but the fact is, you can't give away what you don't have for yourself in the first place -- and it's time to fortify your inner self, in whatever actions are needed, so that you can become a positive source of support for yourself and those you love ... again.

You are in an experience of emotional loss -- perhaps something from your past or part of your personal history that has shown up again to haunt you. This may be something you expected -- something you were able to predict, because the pain of this encounter is lessened somehow by its familiarity. This is a sad place you've walked through before -- perhaps in other guises ... but you know how this song goes -- and, worse, how it ends.

The feelings here are regret, resignation, sorrow -- but with a sense of "déjà vu". As I said ... you've been through this -- or coped with it -- before This may be a lesson you need to meet one more time -- as a way of helping you finally find the ways to get past it!!

However, despite the brave front you may manage to put on ... this could hurt -- more than you realize. You may be in denial about the seriousness of what is happening here ... or you may not know anything constructive you can do to compensate for or correct this matter.

Soon you will reach a situation that places an extremely heavy emphasis on material success, money, public status, and "creating the right image." This may involve experiences of serious discontent, depression, and even illness -- as this represents an extraordinary perversion of the natural desire for safety, honor, and respect. This energy turns the need for fame, reputation, achievement, and respect into an obsession ... which will stoop to force, coercion, manipulation, exploitation, and abuse in order to accomplish its ends.

This represents action without understanding, without compassion, without accountability, and without considering the results and effects of what one has set in motion. It often involved someone's overweening ego ... and actions taken out of inordinate pride or in order to "save face" or gain importance. There is a lack of consideration, a pervasive attitude of selfishness and concern for appearances that creates a miserable existence.

Life at this point is seriously off track and out of kilter -- and a major crash in order to make a course correction in these circumstances may loom before too long. You may be either the victim or the perpetrator of these conditions ... but regardless of which side of the equation you fall on, you need to get this fixed -- for everyone's sake.

You do harm even to the one you allow to treat you this way if you let this arrangement continue. You will do untold harm to yourself if you are the one putting this deplorable situation into motion in the first place.

Long-term, you will encounter a personality or a set of attitudes that can be quite positive and helpful. This person is "successful" in the conventional career and financial sense of that word.

He (or she) is a business person, and entrepreneur ... someone who may have sacrificed a great deal for the commercial and professional status he enjoys today. He enjoys staying busy. He sets a practical example for others regarding wealth and the use of material resources -- but he may have neglected his emotional side in pursuit of public honor and regard.

He is a provider, an achiever, someone who enjoys prosperity ... and life's worldly pleasures. He is reliable, steady, solid, even-tempered, conventional practical, and analytical. He places emphasis on efficiency, reality, and having good "business sense." He believes in conservative, old-fashioned values and watching out for "the bottom line."

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that have come to the forefront to help you develop it further. This energy is an asset you can readily use to good advantage.
