You have been able to step back and get a new take on your material, physical, and financial situation. You have made a shift in your abstract values, found a new sense of personal purpose, new sources of wealth, capital, and raw materials, and an improved sense of security. This is an opportunity to get back on your feet, where things are looking up and future prospects are improved. The world looks different because of this change. You understand the importance of this new opening ... and are able to use it to your advantage.

You are still working through a time of sorrow or sadness over a relationship that ended or the processing of a serious disappointment. It may be that an important lesson is contained in this experience that will play a part in what unfolds soon.

You are in a situation that involves the depletion of physical and financial assets. Something did not pay off the way you expected it to ... or it cost you a lot more than you realized -- or hoped. It's possible you made a major purchase (although it's also possible what you "bought" was the sad wisdom of experience.) Or you may have "invested a lot of yourself" into something -- that hasn't yet yielded the dividend you're looking for.

At the moment, indications are it either won't give back what you intend, or the investment will take more time to mature than you've realized. You have to work with the possibility that you are overspending; incurring money problems; investing yourself, your time, and your talents poorly. You may not be living up to your potential -- or achieving the gains you intend to make.

You may have jeopardized yourself without realizing it ... or exhausted yourself to no ultimate benefit. This matter has your full attention now ... and you understand the impact it has on your thinking and your choices.

You have someone available to help you with this matter. This person is quick witted, knowledgeable, a person of forceful opinions and intellectual power. He has determination, the deep courage of his convictions, and a willingness to stand up for his ideas and views.

He is honest and communicative, focused and goal-directed when it comes to learning ... and teaching. He is a writer, a thinker, a speaker, a lover of truth. He assertively promotes his opinions, shares what he knows, renders sound judgments, and may be both persuasive and opinionated.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly.

You face difficult choices because of conflicting needs and elements that don't accommodate one another well at all. You may not have a firm grasp on all your options, or you may not yet have seen a way to achieve a decent compromise. You may also be in denial about just how much your ambivalence and dithering are impeding your progress.

Soon, you will need to confront your own immaturity. You have been living too much in the past, clinging to outworn situations, relationships, and worthless associates. Problems from your past continue to pollute conditions in the present ... and deep emotional disappointments keep you from "moving on" ... although that is really your next step in this level of personal growth.

You will find you are caught in unproductive circumstances, dwelling on unhappy past events, dealing with rigid ideas -- your own and those of others. In short, you are not progressing, but are instead sacrificing the present for past longings and regrets ... wondering "what might have been," and staying caught in unproductive nostalgia.

Ultimately, you will encounter a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes.. This may involve someone who has -- or causes -- chronic financial problems, someone who is impractical, irresponsible, physically lazy, and who "uses" people ... especially to his own financial advantage.

Your situation may also contain attitudes that are unethical, calculating, financially stingy -- or financially greedy, and where "doing things the easy way" is a primary concern. Accommodating him (or her!) may be chronically costly to your career progress, your pocketbook, and your physical health.

Because energy is always a two-way street -- this may represent another person in your situation, or it may be a side of your personality you are reluctant to confront or control. You may not even want to admit it exists.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you need to do some serious work to refocus your thinking about money, business decisions, commercial transactions, and the use of time and other resources. It can mean a new way of conducting your financial life and managing your economic situation is waiting to unfold ... and you need to do the inner work -- and the groundwork -- to discover it.
