You are coping with problems caused by someone who is immature, who has a bad self-image, a negative attitude, or no self-confidence or motivation. This may be another person who is influencing your situation ... or it may be a part of yourself you are having to come to terms with and realign.

Alternatively: You have reached a time of reassessing and realigning your sense of who you are -- something you may have misunderstood for a while. You are reaching new conclusions about your identity, your desires, and your effectiveness at reaching goals. These changes may not yet show on the outside, but inside, where you live, a quiet revolution is taking place that will improve things for you significantly in time.

If you resonate to this meaning more than to the presence of a difficult person in your situation, consider that this is the message the card carries for you in this instance.

You are in a situation of chaos and confusion where you are not thinking clearly or realistically. You may be pushing your ideas at the wrong time or in the wrong way. You are not getting the results you want ... or the respect you think you deserve. You may not know what you believe ... or even what to think at this point.

You may not be telling -- or receiving -- the truth about your circumstances. You may be acting on a bad idea or misinformation. You or someone influential in your situation may not be communicating well. You or someone influential in your situation may have a bad attitude. You face serious challenges to some idea you are working with. You do, however, realize what is going on here ... and are able to work with the problems of this energy directly and openly.

You are dealing with a personality or a set of attitudes that can be quite positive and helpful. This person is "successful" in the conventional career and financial sense of that word.

He (or she) is a business person, and entrepreneur ... someone who may have sacrificed a great deal for the commercial and professional status he enjoys today. He enjoys staying busy. He sets a practical example for others regarding wealth and the use of material resources -- but he may have neglected his emotional side in pursuit of public honor and regard.

He is a provider, an achiever, someone who enjoys prosperity ... and life's worldly pleasures. He is reliable, steady, solid, even-tempered, conventional practical, and analytical. He places emphasis on efficiency, reality, and having good "business sense." He believes in conservative, old-fashioned values and watching out for "the bottom line."

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that have come to the forefront to help you develop it further. It is, however, having significant impact on the way you think now and the way you view your world and your life.

You are coping with a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes. This person is wasteful, careless with money, possibly too materialistic or too easily impressed with status symbols. He (or she) is without practical direction, may not show much common sense, may lack "a good head for business," and may be in constant financial distress as a result. This person may also be physically ill -- most likely from poor lifestyle choices.

This is someone who doesn't learn ... even from his own mistakes -- of which there may be plenty to choose from as examples of how not to behave. The attitudes present here are hedonistic, vain, status-conscious, contrary, extravagant, impractical, self-absorbed, and unwilling to listen to the voice of experience.

This may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality you need to confront and correct. You may not feel there is much you can do to correct or compensate for the problems this person or this part of yourself presents, but at this point you at least understand what is going on and are able to confront the matter openly and directly -- for all the good it may do.

Alternatively: You may need to step back, go inward, an reconnect with your own common sense. You may also need to rethink some matter involving your career, business life, or commercial enterprises. You may need to learn some thing you don't know at the moment ... or implement some strategies you have only begun to discover. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

You have a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes to deal with. This person is intolerant, temperamental, pompous, conceited, vain, and full of empty ambitions -- great plans that come to nothing. He (or she) wants things handed to him without effort ... and may be dealing with low self-esteem, poor impulse control, defensiveness, and jealousy.

The attitudes present in this situation include selfishness, impulsiveness, bossiness, and anger -- often poorly controlled anger. This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not see anything you can do about this problem at the moment ... or you may not realize how much it is hindering your successful handling of the matter at hand. You may prefer to "look the other way" if possible ... and just allow it to continue on unchecked.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

If you resonate more emphatically to this possibility than to the presence of a difficult person as described above, you may consider this suggestion to be the message this card is offering you.

You are heading into a place where confusion, indecision, and stagnation prevail. Your own weak will and ineptitude in dealing with this new situation -- or the developments that come in your present situation -- will be a major handicap in your ability to make progress into something better.

You may have to cope with a lack of wisdom, shallow and inadequate knowledge, incorrect information, improper focus, a willingness to offer or settle for "easy answers," poor concentration ... and maybe outright lies. This is an energy of mediocrity and incompetence, dancing around the truth, rationalizing, dissembling, covering up, and "putting on a front."

It suggests living in the shallows, being uninspired and uninspiring, being bored and depressed, not sharing what you know ... or not having anything worth sharing. A lack of planning, lack of attention to details, poor organization and initiative, and intellectual pomposity may be on prominent display.

You may find this energy present in another person you have to manage -- or work around. You may also find these qualities in yourself coming out in the open where you have to confront and correct them. Whichever way this happens, you need to get this taken care of. At this point, your own inability to think straight and act on sound decisions is working against you -- and costing you more than you realize.

You are heading toward an outcome where the lack of joy in your situation, the blocked emotional fulfillment, frustration, and depression are all too evident. You may be facing a lack of real love, manipulation of yourself or others "in the name of love," and a deep sense of genuine unhappiness. You are not doing anything you enjoy. You don't trust your situation -- or the conditions in it.

You feel you lack the necessary support of others around you ... and the basic pleasures you have a right to expect. You may feel unwanted, abandoned, deceived, unsupported, and unable to offer love and support to others. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be "taking and using" -- and that will exhaust everyone concerned before long.
