This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are in circumstances of happiness, support, positive relationships, stable emotional conditions, and tremendous satisfaction. Life is reliable, predictable, secure, peaceful, good. This is a time when you can rely on your feelings, know what to expect, what you can count on, and who your "friends" are. This is an asset you can use to tremendous advantage now.

You now understand you have greater freedom, wider options, and more latitude than you once thought. You see your circumstances differently. You are willing to adopt ideas you wouldn't consider before and accept viewpoints that once seemed "impossible." This change in your thinking is an important asset.

You are inclined to accept shallow, surface answers, where "appearances" are all that matters -- or all that you believe. This is an energy of self-deception, not listening to your feelings and intuition, acting from conceit and pride. It may be too easy to rationalize away what you really know to be true. You may not really dig for deeper answers.

You may also be dealing with people who are one-sided, closed-minded, insensitive, and concerned with keeping up an image. They may provoke some of the same responses in you -- or you may be contributing your fair share to this set of attitudes all along.

You may wind up making wrong choices, acting irrationally from deep-seated fears and phobias, unable to make decisions you can trust, and unable to see the real issues clearly. You may pull inward for self-protection ... and be loath to take any risks -- because you don't know what to believe.

This is the result of not following your own instincts, of not listening to the wisdom of your heart, of contradicting your own conscience and inner wisdom, and of not being true to yourself. It's a mighty high price to pay, but at least you're aware of the problem ... and are able to deal with it directly and consciously. This is a little bit better than the alternative of having this energy of sabotage and paralysis working on away on your blind side.

You do need to realize, however, the serious impact it is having on your choices and ideas. This matter needs your full attention ... now.

A time of major change is definitely underway. You may want to deny this ... even though it's been going on so long it hardly qualifies as "news" any more. You may also be resisting the adjustments that will eventually be necessary. It's possible you still don't realize the dimensions of what's involved here, but working with this energy instead of against it might be a better strategy.

You are facing circumstances where the lack of money is a problem ... and the stress of financial anxiety may be serious enough to cause physical symptoms. This condition is temporary -- but it can still cause you some tension.

You may not have a good way to compensate for this at the moment. You may be in denial about just how serious your situation is ... or how much it is affecting you, but you will soon have to confront this problem more directly. This card also suggests you are resisting some necessary lifestyle changes, and this is hampering you now more than you realize.

You will soon however, have to cope with a lack in the quality or quantity of support you need to create the vision you have in mind. You may be teamed up with colleagues and allies that simply aren't up to the task at hand. Someone you are depending on may let you down with a thud -- or some crucial element in your creation will not arrive or will not perform as required. You need to look at the warning signs that tell you trouble is brewing here.

Ultimately, you are moving to a resolution that includes a serious atmosphere of quarrelling, anxiety, and deep philosophical disagreement. This is an extremely disagreeable situation, containing, as it does, elements of defeat, unfairness, failure, slander, cruelty, cowardliness, and malice. You may feel you have been treated unfairly ... or realize that you have done so to others. (Possibly both.)

This is a situation of insensitivity, fear, the realization that you are not following your conscience -- if you pause long enough to rationally consider what is happening here. You are pushing an issue ... or using force ... often to no good avail, often to avoid changing your mind about something dear or important to you. Or you are feeling coerced and pressured to change your opinions ... or surrender your ideas ... by circumstances or another person.

This is an energy of victimization, and because energy is always a two way street, you may be either the victim, the perpetrator, or quite likely ... both. You may have to cope with feelings of revenge, the consequences of your self-defeating actions, or the consequences of ruthless responses.

Even "winning" here gains you nothing but an empty victory. You are likely locked into circumstances which involve mind games, game-playing, scoring points, getting even, and working to get "one up" on someone else -- and vice versa. You need desperately to change your thinking.
