This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are involved in a time of substantial change, much of which may be internal ... even "unconscious." You may be unaware how much your opinions and views will shift in response to outer experiences and requirements you've encountered recently... and how much the circumstances you face will change because of your altered ideas and perspectives.

You are in a situation where timing problems are a significant factor. You feel delayed, stagnant, blocked and frustrated -- as if you are making no progress and not moving forward at all. You may "start pushing," trying to force something out of impatience ... perhaps unwisely. You may also show a lack of tact and diplomacy. You may feel the need to act out of your own pressures -- or to overcome the opposition you face. However, your anger and impulsiveness may backfire.

You may find you are trying to move in the wrong direction. This energy suggests ruthless, impulsive, ill-advised action. You may be pushing for a result prematurely, or "getting ahead of yourself," not understanding what you're doing or where you are going, or moving in the wrong direction.

However, this card also suggests timidity and ill-advised hesitation. So you may not be pushing something that requires more decisive action to break the stalemate.

This is a confusing, "mixed message" situation ... where you almost have to "go against your impulse" in order to do what is best -- to wait when you want to get going ... and "force the issue" when you are inclined to hold back. The ambivalence and lack of clarity itself may be a problem, but at least you understand your quandary.

You are in a situation of high anxiety, despair, and emotional upset serious enough to qualify as torment. You are able to admit this openly, and at least have the advantage of facing and working consciously with the serious impact this is having on you and your present circumstances. It is taking a terrible toll on your thinking and your freedom to make choices ... but it does have your full attention at this point.

You are in a situation where you feel trapped, imprisoned, limited in options, and unable to do anything positive to resolve this issue without a great deal of discomfort and upset. You may feel anxious, worried, and powerless. You may be unable to think clearly about your present circumstances, let alone make constructive, informed decisions.

You may know what needs to be done ... but hold back from doing it for complex and compelling reasons. The "cure" may be worse than the problem in your mind ... and in your paralysis, you simply perpetuate this unpleasant, unproductive stalemate. You may be letting others interfere with your perceptions and decisions.

You may be waiting for life ... or other circumstances to "rescue" you from this arrangement. Through your indecisiveness and cowardice you may simply be building things to a more intense level of crisis -- but that may be what it takes to move you to action. This is a very damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't situation ... but you may prefer putting up with the discomfort -- for now -- than risking what might happen if you really take steps to do what needs to be done.

You honestly may not see a good way out of these circumstances ... or ways to adequately compensate for the problems they are causing you. But you are at least aware of the seriousness of these arrangements ... and are able to deal with them openly and directly.

You have an unused asset in your situation. This person is practical, generous, business-like, able to take on and handle responsibility. She (or he) is prosperous, able to handle money and make sound economic decisions. She is thoughtful, secure, able to deal with the physical side of life. She may have her own successful career or established profession ... or be equally committed and competent at the chores she takes on, whether or not she does them for money.

She is willing to work hard, provides for the physical needs of others without being asked, knows what is needed and automatically supplies that as part of her "job." She is confident, realistic, and sensible She may be a little too involved with "getting useful results" ... or arranging "something that works, that does the job" ... and with the economic considerations of money, the use of resources, and "the bottom line." She may thus seem more hard-edged and hard-headed than soft and sympathetic, but she certainly has her valuable place in the world.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future. But at the moment you either aren't aware this help is available ... or you're not applying it to your own best advantage.

Soon, you will realize the presence of a powerful intellectual force. This may appear in the form of another person ... someone whose mind is his (or her) most compelling feature, someone who is a fighter, a survivor, who doesn't quit when the going gets tough. This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, influential, authoritative, and wise. He shows great intelligence and originality in his work ... and his counsel is priceless.

He is able to generate a wide range of helpful ideas, thought, concepts and designs. His knowledge is one of his greatest virtues ... and his ability to apply that in practical ways makes him an invaluable counselor and confidante. He may be more rational than sentimental, more hard-headed than soft-hearted, but he does have an important and powerful role to play in your life ... at least temporarily.

He is fair-minded, in command of himself, and able to think his way through tough issues and arrive at workable, moral solutions. He is focused, assertive, shrewd, insightful, and genuine. He is also self-disciplined, articulate, impartial, and philosophical. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this wisdom among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them.

Ultimately, you will come to a point of material stability, professional competence, career recognition, and financial success. You may not be wildly wealthy, but you have steady employment, are able to use your talents and resources to good advantage, and can hold on to what you earn. You will be in a profitable, stable situation with solid foundations -- and you will be able to stay there.
