This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You have reached a significant conclusion and judge your work here complete and successful. There is a sense of release and renewal as you change your focus to another set of challenges -- complete with the new personal wisdom you've acquired. You are satisfied with your decisions and what you have accomplished. The eventual results here may, in fact, accrue to you as positive karma. You realize you are at completion.

Additionally, you have to cope with a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This may involve a person who takes too many foolish chances with money, who is wasteful with resources, who often shows addictive behavior, or who is physically ill.

He (or she) may be powerful in your career, business, or financial structures. He may also be "keeping you dependent" for some reason. The attitudes featured here may be dishonesty, shady dealings, "anything for a buck," wastefulness, impracticality, fraudulent ideas and dealings, materialism, workaholism, a lack of scruples, materialism, and an overwhelming concern with status.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not feel there is much you can do to improve the situation -- but at least you are aware this energy exists, that it is a problem, and that you have to compensate for or correct it somehow.

Alternatively: You may need to look carefully at some ideas and practices you have adopted that affect your economic situation, business prospects, financial management, or the way you acquire and use physical resources -- including your own time and energy. Something here needs to be rethought, reworked, or redirected so as to not grossly mismanage your own opportunities and resources.

If you resonate to this interpretation more than to the presence of a difficult person in your life now, consider that this is the meaning the card is offering for you to hear and heed.

You are in a place where confusion, indecision, and stagnation prevail. Your own weak will and ineptitude in dealing with this new situation -- or the developments that come in your present situation -- have become a major handicap in your ability to make progress into something better.

You need to cope with a lack of wisdom, shallow and inadequate knowledge, incorrect information, improper focus, a willingness to offer or settle for "easy answers," poor concentration ... and maybe outright lies. This is an energy of mediocrity and incompetence, dancing around the truth, rationalizing, dissembling, covering up, and "putting on a front."

It suggests living in the shallows, being uninspired and uninspiring, being bored and depressed, not sharing what you know ... or not having anything worth sharing. A lack of planning, lack of attention to details, poor organization and initiative, and intellectual pomposity may be on prominent display.

You may find this energy present in another person you have to manage -- or work around. You may also find these qualities in yourself coming out in the open where you have to confront and correct them. Whichever way this happens, you need to get this taken care of.

At this point, your own inability to think straight and act on sound decisions is working against you -- and costing you more than you realize. But at least you do understand this is happening ... and are working to deal with it openly and directly. These realizations and viewpoints are having substantial impact on your thinking and decisions now.

You are working with a situation that features a lack of initiative, low energy levels, confusion, low self-esteem, and a sense of defeat. Your situation may also contain attitudes of vanity, arrogance, self-absorption, disagreements, and disappointment. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be trying to control others for your own ends.

This is an energy of depression, narrow-thinking, and emptiness. You may feel a lack of purpose, a lack of creativity, a lack of joy. It is possible you are misusing personal energy ... and yet still not gaining the positive respect or attention of others you are seeking. You may not may not yet see any way or solving it, but at least it's now out in the open where you can deal with it openly and directly.

You are in circumstances where a lack of money, possessions, or other resources is causing you concern You may also have health or lifestyle issues that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not yet see a good way to compensate for this ... or you may not fully realize what a handicap you are working under. You may also be denying that this is as serious a problem as it is at the moment.

You will soon see a dramatic change for the better in your circumstances ... an improvement almost as magical as a stroke of good luck. A new period of growth and expansion is at hand.

Ultimately you are moving into circumstances that are balanced, stable, successful, "complete but not satisfying." This energy contains feelings of boredom, stagnation, discontent, lack of motivation, and even mild depression.

At this point, you will need to re-evaluate your situation, your priorities, potentials, relationships, needs, and desires. It will be time to look inward, see how you need to re-engage with life, break up some of your familiar but stale routines, and find a new situation where you are doing more than treading water and "going through the motions."
