This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. A problem "personality factor" is affecting your situation, someone who is financially dependent, ill, or physically helpless. She (or he) may be impractical, wasteful, status-conscious, materialistic, superficial, judgmental, and irresponsible. She may be making no use of her own abilities, not trying to care for herself physically, unable to manage her economic life, and constantly in need of support and rescue.

She may blame others for her problems, be critical, fault-finding, and hard to get along with, have a confused professional life or unrealistic ambitions, and be full of great dreams and fantasies -- but with no actual achievement to back them up.

This may be another person. This may be the response elicited from you as a result of the stress you are having to handle, or it may be one of your own inner selves coming to your attention for you to notice and adjust. It is having a significant influence on your thinking and your choices at this point.

Alternatively: This card could be suggesting that you need to step back, go inward, and consider how you are failing to nourish yourself properly, or failing to provide for and support yourself properly. You may be trying to "take care of everybody else" ... to your own detriment. It's time to reconsider the load you are trying to handle ... and what you may be getting in return for all the effort you are spending.

If you resonate to this meaning more than to the presence of a problem person ... or a difficult set of your own attitudes, it is likely this is the message the card is sending to you.

You are also in a position of strength ... where you can use your own force, fortitude, and power to great advantage. This energy contains tremendous energy, steadfastness, and self-confidence. You have access to abundant sources of inner power ... that you can use to your own benefit out in the real world. You are willing to take on challenging projects with the determination to follow them through to success

You are in a situation that is confused, stalled, frustrating, blocked, and which doesn't let you live up to your potential. A lack of leadership, vision, personal commitment, and no overall sense of objectives or direction hinders any further growth or progress for the moment.

You may be caught in a sequence of false starts, misdirected energy, setbacks, delays, obstacles, and helplessness. You may also be dealing with uncooperative attitudes from others ... and from life itself. You are wasting yourself on this merry-go-round ... and wasting your time, resources, and abilities. You're just not getting anywhere ... until you make some changes to whatever is causing this inertia. Consider that at least part of the problem likely is you.

You need to make some serious adjustments in your thinking and perspectives -- changes which may include everything from simply developing a better attitude to completely revising what you are trying to accomplish.

A problematic personality or attitude, someone negative, sarcastic, sly, critical, opinionated, argumentative, and undisciplined poses considerable problems for you. This person is superficial, untrustworthy, and uncooperative ... a trouble-maker and a know-it-all. He or she either triggers these attitudes in you ... or you, too, are part of the problem.

These elements and responses may be part of your personality that you need to handle more productively. You may be coping with the results of "bad news" ... or you may be coping with the fact you've been working at cross-purposes with yourself. You are able to work with this truth honestly and out in the open at this point.

You are involved with a situation of high anxiety, despair, and emotional upset serious enough to qualify as torment. You may not want to admit this openly ... or face the serious impact this is having on you and your circumstances at the moment.

Soon, you will reach a moment that holds a sense of disappointment ... and discovery, the realization that you "haven't arrived yet" at the destination you now have in mind. You may be at the very place you were originally heading for ... but with more experience and perspective, you will see it is just an interim stage on the way to a much larger goal.

Likely you will feel let down and dissatisfied, because instead of being at the end!! of this particular endeavor, venture, or project, you are still somewhere in the middle -- with yet more work to accomplish. Another possibility is the discovery that you've achieved something that no longer suits you ... something that you really no longer want or can use.

You need a major course correction to set yourself on a more productive path ... and that knowledge can be discouraging. The feeling now is of incompletion, of having "yet another mountain to climb." True, this may not be the result you originally intended ... but eventually, you'll have more to show for your work than you expected in the beginning.

Ultimately, you will arrive at a place of joy, love, satisfaction, and delight.
