This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are in a condition of waiting, listening, indecision, and stasis. This may be a fairly tense time of ambivalence, hanging fire, or feeling you have reached an impasse. Or you may be waiting to see what happens in a situation of stalemate ... where there is no clear winner, no clear victory, and no clear path regarding how to break out of this arrangement.

You could be waiting for direction, waiting for new inspiration, looking for "a sign" about what to do next. You may also be checking your own priorities and options ... or listening to advice and counsel -- both inner and outer. You may be taking in different ideas, considering other points of view, hearing dissent and cautions -- as well as support and agreement.

You may know you need to make an important decision, but postpone action in order to examine both sides of the issue. This is a time of being quiet, pausing, being passive, keeping an open mind, considering your next move, and sorting out what you really think from all the information you are receiving.

Although you may not be moving forward at the moment ... you understand that using this strategy to your own advantage, choosing your own time, and making sure you are in possession of all the proper facts, could be vital to the successful resolution of your issue.

You have someone available to help you with this matter. This person is quick witted, knowledgeable, a person of forceful opinions and intellectual power. He has determination, the deep courage of his convictions, and a willingness to stand up for his ideas and views.

He is honest and communicative, focused and goal-directed when it comes to learning ... and teaching. He is a writer, a thinker, a speaker, a lover of truth. He assertively promotes his opinions, shares what he knows, renders sound judgments, and may be both persuasive and opinionated.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly.

You've come to the point where you can reinstate reality on an intellectual level. This often means someone owns up to the truth, makes amends, and comes to terms honestly with what has happened in the past. You may give credit to someone you have treated unfairly or apologize to someone you have harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you will decide to set the record straight. You realize this is both possible and necessary.

This energy indicates recognition and credit are given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have previously existed. You can make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth.

You can clarify the information you're working with and allow atonements to happen. You, or someone, can listen, get the message, learn the lesson, and accept the necessary consequences of past actions. At last, you are no longer fooling yourself, accepting pretty "cover stories," or living in fantasies that have no connection to reality.

It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be, and now you can apply its advantages to your own benefit. This improved atmosphere has significant influence on your thinking and choices.

You are dealing with a lot of impatience. You may be making or have recently made some moves that were not well-considered and which do not have the support you need to make the most of the changes they bring. You could also be letting other people dominate your thinking and "make your decisions for you."

You are not considering your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or abilities in ways that offer you the full range of available potentials. You may, instead, be kicking up misunderstandings, opposition ... or at the least a lack of cooperation from those you need to help you succeed in this present venture. You may also be coping with a lot of mixed messages and your own ambivalence.

As long as things are jumbled as they are regarding this energy of "missing alliances and no support," you might be wise to pause and wait for things to clear before proceeding. Right now you are not heading toward a successful result or the advantageous use of what you are working with. About the best that can be said for this card's energy is that you recognize the problem for what it is ... and can deal honestly and directly with the trouble it causes you.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you have decided to "go back to the drawing board" in terms of partners and allies, outside resources, or your own mixed feelings on this matter and try to reorganize this part of your situation into something more cohesive. There may not be much difference showing in the outside world yet, but you are making some important inner changes and behind the scenes adjustments that will be better in the long run.

If this meaning resonates strongly with you regarding your present situation, consider that it also is a message the card is suggesting for you to receive.

You are coping with adversity, obstacles, and possibly a lack of preparation for what you have undertaken. To complicate matters, however, you are not fighting for what is right, not standing up for yourself, remaining weak and vulnerable, and bending under the considerable pressure of your circumstances. You may be dealing with a problem you thought was already "solved."

You may also be allowing yourself to be bullied or "run over." You are overwhelmed, dealing with circumstances you aren't really ready to face, and may be blind-sided before long because you are trying to "be nice," make excuses or "look the other way." You may not realize the seriousness of this situation yet ... or you may be trying to ignore the issues and just "hoping for the best." This strategy may cost you a lot in the long run ... and you may not yet realize how much.

You also have a problem personality complicating the picture. This one might legitimately be called a trouble-maker. There is a sly cunning to this character, and a secretive, scheming "mean streak" that may make him (or her) particularly hard to get along with. Attitudes of aggression, sarcasm, cynicism, and pettiness dominate -- along with an insufferable spirit of narcissism that may be almost impossible to stomach.

Ultimately, you are moving to a resolution that includes a serious atmosphere of quarrelling, anxiety, and deep philosophical disagreement. This is an extremely disagreeable situation, containing, as it does, elements of defeat, unfairness, failure, slander, cruelty, cowardliness, and malice. You may feel you have been treated unfairly ... or realize that you have done so to others. (Possibly both.)

This is a situation of insensitivity, fear, the realization that you are not following your conscience -- if you pause long enough to rationally consider what is happening here. You are pushing an issue ... or using force ... often to no good avail, often to avoid changing your mind about something dear or important to you. Or you are feeling coerced and pressured to change your opinions ... or surrender your ideas ... by circumstances or another person.

This is an energy of victimization, and because energy is always a two way street, you may be either the victim, the perpetrator, or quite likely ... both. You may have to cope with feelings of revenge, the consequences of your self-defeating actions, or the consequences of ruthless responses.

Even "winning" here gains you nothing but an empty victory. You are likely locked into circumstances which involve mind games, game-playing, scoring points, getting even, and working to get "one up" on someone else -- and vice versa. You need desperately to change your thinking.
