You are in a situation where a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes have considerable influence. This may involve someone who has -- or causes -- chronic financial problems, someone who is impractical, irresponsible, physically lazy, and who "uses" people ... especially to his own financial advantage.

You may also face attitudes that are unethical, calculating, financially stingy -- or financially greedy, and where "doing things the easy way" is a primary concern. Accommodating this person may be chronically costly to your career progress, your pocketbook, and your physical health.

Because energy is always a two-way street -- this may represent another person in your situation, or it may be a side of your personality you are reluctant to confront or control. You may not even want to admit it exists.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you need to do some serious work to refocus your thinking about money, business decisions, commercial transactions, and the use of time and other resources. It can mean a new way of conducting your financial life and managing your economic situation is waiting to unfold ... and you need to do the inner work -- and the groundwork -- to discover it.

If the description of the difficult personality above doesn't seem to fit your circumstances, or if this interpretation resonates more emphatically with the situation you are handling, then consider this to be the message the card is offering you.

You have achieved a successful conclusion in a matter that has been "on your plate" or a while now. This may be an important moment of seeing how to go about fashioning victory for yourself in other pursuits in the future.

You have a valuable asset in your situation. Someone who is empathetic, supportive, and loving. She (or he) may be dedicated to home, family, friends, and her partner. She is in touch with her feelings and intuitions ... and honors these qualities in others. She brings joy, compassion, and sympathy to situations where her counsel is needed -- and helpful. She uses her emotional empathy to help others find their own answers, their own way, their own destiny.

She is sensitive to her surroundings, and may be creative, artistic, musical, or poetic in her interests. She enjoys serene, tranquil surroundings, and values the time in her own life to dream, imagine, and contemplate. She may support the dreams of others at the expense of her own best interests and development. She is "motherly," insightful, peace-loving, devoted, and faithful.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future. You have this resource easily at hand and can use it now to your own best advantage. It has substantial impact on your ideas and decisions and the way in which you view your situation.

You are in a situation where you feel overwhelmed, overextended, and stressed out. You may not be coping well physically or financially with the challenges you face. You don't have the assets or resources you need to work through this comfortably or successfully. You may be short on time, energy, stamina, strength, and money. You have too much going on and are not able to stretch the materials and means you have on hand to cover all the necessary bases.

You are spread too thin ... and even careful budgeting may not compensate for what is lacking. The need for constant adjustment weighs heavily on you. You may not see a good way to correct or compensate for what is happening here -- but at least you are able to work with the problem out in the open, consciously, and deliberately.

You are moving to bring an end to this level of experience by judging the work here complete and successful. There will be a sense of release, renewal, and the ability to change your focus to another set of challenges -- complete with a change in your personal consciousness as a result of your learning in this matter. You will be satisfied with your decisions and what you have accomplished. The eventual results here may, in fact, accrue to you as positive karma. You may not yet realize this is where you are heading, however, or that you are this close to completion. This decision may not be available to your consciousness yet -- or you may not yet be conducting yourself with this resolution in mind.

A "personality problem" is also on the scene, someone malicious, cruel, sarcastic, intolerant, and prone to use his or her superior mental gifts and hurtful tongue as weapons in a situation of "warfare." This may be another person ... or this may be the response elicited from you as a result of the stress you are having to handle.

Ultimately you will face circumstances where impatience is both a major factor and a possible pitfall. You may find other people dominate your thinking and decisions. You may not consider your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or other choices that might contribute better to your advancement -- and success. By surrendering to these tactics and temptations you may undermine your own goals ... long before you reach them.

These are conditions where misunderstandings, opposition, and a lack of cooperation are on full display, where you may be receiving -- and sending -- mixed messages, where the "details" ... and even "realistic thinking" elude you. This is an odd and uncomfortable energy of being both ambivalent ... and urgently anxious to be on the move. Trouble is ... there's no way to know for sure which direction to head -- and that you're not moving in the wrong one.
