This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are being forced to confront a serious loss or bitter disappointment, something you may have tried hard not to acknowledge. This may involve circumstances of ruin, defeat, betrayal, failure -- even to the point of being "stabbed in the back."

This is an energy of severe trouble and misfortune -- bringing extreme unhappiness, suffering, sorrow, frustration, and anguish. It may involve irreplaceable losses, a crisis of faith, and a sense of the world collapsing around you. It may represent the complete destruction of something you have counted on and worked for -- possibly because you have been acting on bad information or trusting the wrong people.

The upshot here is likely total devastation from which the only choice is "starting over." You may finally realize the extent of this ... and be working with it as best you can. You may, however, feel unable to compensate for or cope with these challenges in any way that makes a difference.

There is much more to this situation, however, than meets the eye ... and you are having to trust your feelings and instincts on this issue to a very great extent, rather than being able to take matters at face value. You may have the feeling of something important unfolding beneath the exterior surface of life that hasn't yet made itself clearly known -- or taken on its final shape.

You face difficult choices because of conflicting needs and elements that don't accommodate one another well at all. You may still need to explore options that aren't readily at hand or apparent, and you may have to find compromises between factors that aren't readily or willingly cooperative with either you ... or each other. You still need to think your way through this challenge very carefully.

You need some time to fantasize, dream, brainstorm ... and refocus your intentions. You are in a period of indecision, confusion, and inertia ... where fantasy is preferable to reality, and the ability to act is hindered by a lack of clear direction. You need to concentrate, be realistic, and not get lost in wishful thinking -- or simply spinning your wheels ... and getting nowhere.

You are also in danger of becoming lost in a fantasy world ... or in addictive pursuits that, in the end, gain you nothing. You at least realize the hazards of giving in to these impulses too often or too long ... and are able to work with this energy positive and directly.

You are still recovering from a time of sorrow or sadness over a relationship that has come to a close or the processing of a serious disappointment. This is a challenge you have to face and cope with, but you may prefer to push it aside or ignore it for the time being.

Soon, you will realize you have come through a time of significant difficulty, serious enough to be termed a crisis, and have found meaning and solid ground again after coping with these upsetting -- and even abusive -- experiences. This new level of wisdom is an asset you can use in this situation now, applying the strength and greater perspective you have gained by virtue of overcoming this period of sustained trouble -- and surviving.

Ultimately, you are heading for a resolution where you will be "caught unprepared" for the challenge you are facing. You may be pressured by superior opposition or some kind of competition where you are ill-equipped to prevail. The upshot is, you will not be ready to defend yourself or your position adequately. You may feel threatened, "taken advantage of," and outmaneuvered.

You will be unable or unwilling to do what is needed or successfully confront your adversaries. You may choose to turn and run rather than stand your ground. You may simply lack the courage and willpower to deal with what is present at this point.

This is an energy of feeling anxious, uncomfortable, outnumbered, unpopular, powerless, friendless, and victimized.
