This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are in a position of strength ... where you can use your own force, fortitude, and power to great advantage. This energy contains tremendous energy, steadfastness, and self-confidence. You have access to abundant sources of inner power ... that you can use to your own benefit out in the real world. You are willing to take on challenging projects with the determination to follow them through to success.

Meanwhile, you are stalled in a period of "not accomplishing anything constructive," coping with incompetence -- your own or someone else's, realizing you are "unprepared" for the problems you face, and reorienting your values toward "achieving something worthwhile and profitable." This may have been quite a drain on your reserves and you are intent on solving this problem.

You are in conditions of conflict, separation, misunderstanding, and quarrelling -- possibly regarding an important relationship or alliance. The energy of this card is that of "coming apart," and indicates unbalanced relationships, failure to communicate well, failure to understand your partner and his or her needs, and an overall lack of support and appreciation in either direction among you and your associates.

It can also indicate circumstances where someone in a relationship is too possessive, dishonest, too demanding, manipulative, or cold. There is a severe lack of balance and equality in what should be a much more even or independent arrangement.

It indicates arguments, disputes, distrust, unhappiness, loneliness, and "feeling distant" from those who are supposed to care for you -- and about whom you, too, ostensibly care. This is an energy of unhappiness ... and feeling both unloved and unloving. This energy is out in the open ... where you can work with it directly and try to correct it. But as an asset, it may not be offering you much help in meeting the challenges of what you are trying to cope with.

It is, however, having a significant impact on your viewpoints, opinions, ideas, and the way you speak to people -- especially those directly involved in this upsetting situation. It is further coloring the way you think about your options, influencing the choices you make, and may cause you to overlook or reject some options because of the prejudices and beliefs you presently hold.

You have a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes to deal with. This person is intolerant, temperamental, pompous, conceited, vain, and full of empty ambitions -- great plans that come to nothing. He (or she) wants things handed to him without effort ... and may be dealing with low self-esteem, poor impulse control, defensiveness, and jealousy.

The attitudes present in this situation include selfishness, impulsiveness, bossiness, and anger -- often poorly controlled anger. This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not see anything you can do about this problem at the moment ... but now it is finally "out in the open" where you can work more directly and deliberately with the challenges it brings you.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

If you resonate more emphatically to this possibility than to the presence of a difficult person as described above, you may consider this suggestion to be the message this card is offering you.

You have an unused asset in your situation, a resolution that includes restored harmony -- probably following a serious identity crisis. This was a time when your faith, your belief in yourself and your competence, and your dedication to your goals was tested. The new situation offers you greater stability and a change for the better -- despite being unfamiliar, but for some reason you are not using these changes to your own benefit at the moment.

You have new routines, better methods and opportunities for growth, a greater sense of personal power, direction, and capability. You have redefined who you are as a person, the role you play in your own life -- and relationships -- and incorporated the things you have learned about yourself through these recent upsetting experiences. You may not realize yet that this resources is available to you ... or how to make it work on your behalf. But it exists, and you could be using it.

Soon you will be moving to a place of balance, stability, new insights, and greater equilibrium. Here adjustments are easily made. You have the self-control and patience you need. There are conditions of cooperation and compromise available, more flexibility, sufficient moderation, and the integration you need for peace of mind.

You may start to see greater symmetry in your life ... perhaps in the midst of paradox. You may also see possibilities and combinations others (and even you yourself) have not considered. You will find ways to synthesize and moderate conflicting requirements ... in one of the most positive uses of your own creative energy you may have seen in a long time.

You are heading toward an outcome where the lack of joy in your situation, the blocked emotional fulfillment, frustration, and depression are all too evident. You may be facing a lack of real love, manipulation of yourself or others "in the name of love," and a deep sense of genuine unhappiness. You are not doing anything you enjoy. You don't trust your situation -- or the conditions in it.

You feel you lack the necessary support of others around you ... and the basic pleasures you have a right to expect. You may feel unwanted, abandoned, deceived, unsupported, and unable to offer love and support to others. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be "taking and using" -- and that will exhaust everyone concerned before long.
