This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are restless. You want substantial changes in your life ... and you need to restore balance to matters that have gone off center. You face issues of unfairness, pressure, and coercion. You also are dealing with wastefulness, self-indulgence, and instability -- either from you or from someone influential in your situation. Overbearing attitudes and unnecessary force are on display -- either from you or from someone else.

You are misdirecting your energy ... and have placed yourself under tension and stress which affect you physically. You need moderation and greater mental clarity. You or someone else is being opinionated, self-willed, compulsive, and self-centered. You are operating on "automatic pilot" ... or are otherwise out of control or failing to give proper direction to your life. You are out of touch and off-track, and meeting the consequences of past choices that did not serve you well.

Additionally, you are able to take charge of your circumstances ... and your life ... and exercise the power, control, and "governing" functions that are truly your right to claim and your responsibility to fulfill. This is a powerful energy of self-mastery, self-control, and achievement. You are in control, giving direction, demanding respect, and exercising wise and proper authority. You understand the advantages this offers you.

You are in a place where you once again feel in control of life around you. You see clearly ... with understanding and wisdom. This marks an important change in consciousness, viewpoint, or philosophy. It is a time of enlightenment and restored peace and harmony. It may also accompany a change of attitude, the ability to see things in a more positive light.

You solve your problems by thinking about them differently ... and more rationally. You recognize this peaceful oasis for what it is -- and work with its benefits openly and directly. You appreciate the impact this attitude has on your thinking and choices -- and are giving it your full attention now.

Right now timing problems are a significant factor. You feel delayed, stagnant, blocked and frustrated -- as if you are making no progress and not moving forward at all. You may "start pushing," trying to force something out of impatience ... perhaps unwisely. You may also show a lack of tact and diplomacy. You may feel the need to act out of your own pressures -- or to overcome the opposition you face. However, your anger and impulsiveness may backfire.

You may find you are trying to move in the wrong direction. This energy suggests ruthless, impulsive, ill-advised action. You may be pushing for a result prematurely, or "getting ahead of yourself," not understanding what you're doing or where you are going, or moving in the wrong direction.

However, this card also suggests timidity and ill-advised hesitation. So you may not be pushing something that requires more decisive action to break the stalemate. It can indicate a confusing, "mixed message" situation ... where you almost have to "go against your impulse" in order to do what is best -- to wait when you want to get going ... and "force the issue" when your inclination is to hold back.

You honestly may not know what response to make ... and the ambivalence and lack of clarity itself may be an issue, but at least you understand your quandary ... and are able to work with the matter directly and openly.

You are in a situation where doubt, pessimism, and a stubborn lack of perception -- almost a resolute failure to "get the message" or "see the truth" are very much in evidence. This may include a loss of hope or faith, feelings of rejection and confusion, a serious identity crisis, and having to handle the serious problems stemming from your own lack of bad judgment.

You may have a pervasive negative attitude to overcome. You will be coming to terms with past mistakes and trying hard to put things -- including your own experiences -- into perspective. You will feel helpless, victimized, uninspired, and "in the dark." At the very least, boredom and a lack of new goals will cause you considerable aggravation.

This is a time of sadness ... and sufficient discontent to cause mental and emotional problems. Your poor self-image and failure to use your own talents properly may be major causes of your defeated hopes. Your self-doubt not only has sabotaged your past at this point ... it continues to corrupt and jeopardize your future.

You need to connect with your personal stamina, convictions, and courage again. You may not see a good way out of these problems ... or how to compensate to minimize their effect. You may also be in denial about how much this is hurting you in your efforts to handle this matter, but you need to confront and correct this as soon as possible.

Soon, you will come to a place where reality is restored on an intellectual level. This often means someone owns up to the truth, makes amends, and comes to terms honestly with what has happened. You may give credit to someone you have treated unfairly or apologize to someone you have harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you will decide to set the record straight.

This energy indicates that recognition and credit are given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have existed. You will be able to make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth.

Necessary clarification and atonements take place. You (or someone!!) listens, gets the message, learns the lesson, and accepts the necessary consequences of past actions. You are no longer fooling yourself, accepting pretty "cover stories," or living in fantasies that have no connection to reality. It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be.

In time, you will reach a resolution where you are failing to take charge of your circumstances ... and your life, conditions where you are either pushing too hard or not exercising your rightful authority in the choices and directions of your own life. You may be dealing with energy that is tyrannical, controlling, domineering, and abusive. You may also be wasting opportunities and not building anything constructive at this point.

This card's energy can also mean someone in your situation (possibly you yourself) is being lazy and indifferent ... drifting when you ought to be doing something constructive and making discernible progress ... or at least paying better attention. You may not be exercising proper self-discipline or self-control. You ... or someone influential in your situation ... may be wanting success without doing the necessary work. You also may be dealing with negative or unethical motives.

You will be suffering overall from a lack of courage, determination, leadership, and action. You may be mismanaging an important situation ... and making no progress. You ... or someone in this situation ... may be displaying or coping with toxic ego issues, interested only in self-advancement or self-promotion. You may also be coping somehow with delusions of grandeur ... or a complete lack of integrity, ability, and ambition.
