This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are involved in experiences that include serious quarrelling, anxiety, and deep philosophical disagreement. This is an extremely disagreeable situation, containing, as it does, elements of defeat, unfairness, failure, slander, cruelty, cowardliness, and malice. You may feel you have been treated unfairly ... or realize that you have done so to others. (Possibly both.)

This is a situation of insensitivity, fear, the realization that you are not following your conscience -- if you pause long enough to rationally consider what is happening here. You are pushing an issue ... or using force ... to no good avail, often to avoid changing your mind about something dear or important to you. Or you are feeling coerced and pressured to change your opinions ... or surrender your ideas ... by circumstances or another person.

This is an energy of victimization, and because energy is always a two way street, you may be either the victim, the perpetrator, or quite likely ... both. You may have to cope with feelings of revenge, the consequences of your self-defeating actions, or the consequences of ruthless responses.

Even "winning" here gains you nothing but an empty victory. You are likely locked into circumstances which involve mind games, game-playing, scoring points, getting even, and working to get "one up" on someone else -- and vice versa. You need desperately to change your thinking.

You may not see a good way out of this situation ... or how to compensate well for the considerable problems this is causing you, but at least at this point, you understand the seriousness of these complications and are working directly and consciously to see what can be done with them.

You've come to a point where you can reinstate reality on an intellectual level. This often means someone has owned up to the truth, made amends, and come to terms honestly with what has happened in the past. You may give have given credit to someone you treated unfairly or apologized to someone you harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you has set the record straight.

Recognition and credit have been given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have previously existed. You can make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth.

You can clarify the information you're working with and allow atonements to happen. You, or someone else, can listen, get the message, learn the lesson, and accept the necessary consequences of past actions. At last, you are no longer fooling yourself, accepting pretty "cover stories," or living in fantasies that have no connection to reality.

It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be, and now you can use its advantages to your own benefit.

There is much more to this situation than meets the eye ... and you are having to trust your feelings and instincts on this issue to a very great extent, rather than being able to take matters at face value.

You are in a situation that is sterile and unsatisfying. These are circumstances where you -- or someone influential in your situation -- is frittering away resources, wasting energy, and courting a whole roster of problems -- physical, financial, emotional, psychological. This situation contains a serious lack of love and support. You may feel rejected, depressed, deprived, and unable to muster the energy to start anything new.

This energy describes a lack of productivity, chaotic circumstances, feelings of emptiness and withdrawal, considerable pain, and the failure to use your creative talents to bring about the desired and necessary changes. You may feel there isn't much you can to do compensate for or correct the situation -- but at least the challenge is out in the open where you can work with it consciously and directly.

You have created circumstances where there is a huge disparity between the quality (and perhaps quantity) of work you do and the amount you are paid in return. You may be charging top dollar for incompetent, poor-quality products and services. You may be cutting corners, trying to "scoot by" with as little effort as possible, and you may even be doing things that border on fraud.

Or you may be dealing with people who are treating you this way, abusing your craftsmanship, not appreciating the effort you put out on their behalf, and trying to "get something for nothing" by giving you back as little as they can possibly get away with. If you are putting up with this treatment, you are shamefully complying in your own exploitation. Abuse is abuse ... and "good intentions" don't do much to change its ugly appearances or sad results.

There are indications in this energy that someone's vanity is way out of control ... that he is unjustifiably proud of himself, smug in his ability to beat the system, fleece the "suckers," ride on other people's coattails, or get what he wants "for free", not understanding (or maybe not caring) about the karmic implications and eventual backlash being created by his choices.

Realize, too, there is not much honor in playing the perpetual victim if you are the one on the short end of the stick here ... and are staying there so you can criticize others or use self-pity as a building block in the self-righteous image you may have of yourself.

By skirting the law -- cosmic law, human law, and the physical law of cause-and-effect, you are misapplying your skills, not respecting yourself, not insisting that others grow and behave themselves better, getting lost in the pettiness of life, bogged down in "the small stuff," and definitely going about things in the wrong way.

No matter which side of this transaction you are on ... as the perpetrator or the victim of this abuse, these are not circumstances to be proud of, and the longer you let them continue the harder it will be to break the habit. So you need to get to work on that ... and soon. You are too focused on short terms gains ... and taking the easy way out. You may not, however, understand as fully as you need to that this is happening ... or you may be in denial about the eventual cost this will entail to you if it continues.

You may not see a good way around these entrenched circumstances yet -- but you need to find them, or create them. ASAP.

You are moving into a situation where timing problems are a significant factor. You may feel delayed, stagnant, blocked and frustrated -- as if you are making no progress and not moving forward at all. This may prompt you to "start pushing," trying to force some action out of impatience ... perhaps unwisely. In addition to a lack of patience, you may show a lack of tact and diplomacy. You may feel the need to act out of your own pressures -- or to overcome the opposition you face. However, anger and impatience may backfire on you.

You may find you are trying to move in the wrong direction. This energy suggests ruthless, impulsive, ill-advised action. You may be pushing for some result prematurely, or that you are "getting ahead of yourself," not understanding what you're doing or where you are going, or that you are moving in the wrong direction.

However, this card also suggests timidity and ill-advised hesitation. So you may not be pushing something that requires more decisive action to break the stalemate.

It can indicate a very confusing and "mixed message" situation ... where you almost have to "go against your impulse" in order to do what is best -- to wait when you want to get going ... and "force the issue" when your inclination is to hold back.

Ultimately, you will discover "a better idea," a new philosophical perspective, a new vision. You will use greater insight and intelligence ... being "smarter" than you used to be. This may involve both new information and a new educational opportunity. You will be able to get your points across, communicate well, and see your issues more clearly.

This is a time of creative visualization, new plans, powerful new uses of your own mental energy, and "knowing the right answers." Expect to feel intellectually compatible with your directions ... and know you have finally "gotten the message."
