You are spinning your wheels, running around in circles, putting in huge amounts of effort and energy -- and achieving no progress whatsoever. This energy is one of intense, disorganized action, strife, and confusion. It also represents an identity crisis -- not knowing who you are or what you "role" in this situation is, needing to fight for your rights and position -- but maybe not being willing or able to do so.

You may face a loss of security, harmony, and privacy. You may not have a good sense of yourself or your competence in this situation. You may feel very ambivalent and internally divided. You may face numerous, complicated, and confusing options and choices. This is an arrangement of extreme discomfort with yourself and your situation. It contains energies that speak of arguments, rivalry, agitation, conflict, disagreements, and divided opinions.

You have reached a point of material stability, professional competence, career recognition, and financial success. You may not be wildly wealthy, but you have steady employment, are able to use your talents and resources to good advantage, and can hold on to what you earn. You are in a profitable, stable situation with solid foundations -- and you will be able to stay there. You realize this and know you can trust it. You are also able to use these resources to your own benefit.

You are in a situation that involves the depletion of physical and financial assets. Something did not pay off the way you expected it to ... or it cost you a lot more than you realized -- or hoped. It's possible you made a major purchase (although it's also possible what you "bought" was the sad wisdom of experience.) Or you may have "invested a lot of yourself" into something -- that hasn't yet yielded the dividend you're looking for.

At the moment, indications are it either won't give back what you intend, or the investment will take more time to mature than you've realized. You have to work with the possibility that you are overspending; incurring money problems; investing yourself, your time, and your talents poorly. You may not be living up to your potential -- or achieving the gains you intend to make.

You may have jeopardized yourself without realizing it ... or exhausted yourself to no ultimate benefit. This matter has your full attention now ... and you understand the impact it has on your thinking and your choices.

You are in a situation that contains heartbreak, sorrow, abuse, setbacks, and shattered emotions. This situation may also hold a lack of appreciation, betrayal, injury, separation, grief, and terrible disappointment. While on the surface this energy represents the heart and head at odds with one another ... the reality is often extremely painful.

Far more upsetting than your thoughts telling you one thing and your heart another, this energy usually contains disbelief that you have been treated so badly by someone you care for ... and the realization that you have to get over loving and needing someone who could hurt you this way.

This energy is that of being victimized, harmed, even brutalized physically or emotionally. It may also indicate you have done this to somebody else ... but either way there are karmic liabilities contained here -- and the eventual, inevitable backlash may be pretty severe.

This may be part of the current day conditions ... or it may be problems held over from an old piece of abusive personal history. In either case, it is "out in the open" where you are well aware of it -- and understand the complications it is bringing to your situation.

You are in a situation where a problematic personality or attitude has considerable negative influence. This involves someone living in a dream world, someone who emphasizes the fact that he (or she!) is "fragile," "sensitive," "refined," and "artistic" as a way to escape real life problems and responsibilities. This is someone who expects too much and gives too little and who doesn't know how to conduct balanced emotional relationships.

This is someone who wants to be loved without being loving, who gets his feelings hurt easily, who is manipulative, who "plays mind games," who looks for trouble and sees insults and slights where none were intended. This person is lazy, lonely, "victimized," and may have psychological and possibly addictive problems. He wastes time. He doesn't use his talent. He doesn't try anything ... because he's convinced he's fail, it won't turn out well, it's not worth the trouble, etc.

Depression may be a problem ... as may paranoia and anxiety. This person is insecure, thoughtless, and irresponsible. This may exist in the form of another person -- who triggers negative responses of a similar nature in you. Or it may turn out to be an inner part of you all along -- a personality constellation that has come to the surface for attention and adjustment.

You may not see a good way to "get rid" of this person ... or how to adequately compensate for the problems he causes. You may also be in denial that you are as handicapped by this atmosphere, this person, these attitudes as is truly the case.

Alternatively: This card's energy can also indicate you need to look within yourself for new sources of pleasure and creative expression. A new level, a new round of expression, regarding your own sense of joy, artistry, and emotional satisfaction is waiting to make itself known to you. If this meaning resonates more strongly with you than the description of the person above, then consider this as the card's primary message.

You are moving soon toward circumstances that include adequate recognition and compensation for the services you perform and the work you do. It is a condition of achievement and competence ... where you receive what you have earned, including appreciation and financial payment. You are working on something that will serve you well in the future -- and acquiring the skills and assets you need to improve yourself and your circumstances. You will be able to take pride in your accomplishments and the reputation you have because of them.

Ultimately, you will have financial and physical assets enough to cope with this situation and move forward into something else. You need to use this to your advantage.
