This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You've come to a point where you can reinstate reality on an intellectual level. This often means someone has owned up to the truth, made amends, and come to terms honestly with what has happened in the past. You may have given credit to someone you treated unfairly or apologized to someone you harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you has set the record straight.

Recognition and credit have been given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have previously existed. You can make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth.

You can clarify the information you're working with and allow atonements to happen. You, or someone else, can listen, get the message, learn the lesson, and accept the necessary consequences of past actions. At last, you are no longer fooling yourself, accepting pretty "cover stories," or living in fantasies that have no connection to reality.

It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be, and now you can use its advantages to your own benefit.

You have a helpful person or a very beneficial set of attitudes in your situation. This person is intellectual, philosophical, profound, and studious. He (or she) is definitely a thinker ... perceptive, academic -- maybe kind of a bookworm.

He is interested in fairly sophisticated subjects ... like education, law, religion, theology, social problems, politics, spiritual subjects. He is either fairly young ... or may have recently started out on a new level of study and education -- either self-directed or formal. He may still need a little time to "season" in this field.

He is an independent thinker, a good communicator, someone who enjoys learning, investigation, and research. He may have a quiet, "watchful," observant personality. He may not be terribly forward or self-promoting, but he definitely knows what he thinks ... and how to handle information. He is a deep, incisive thinker, strong-minded, intellectually adventurous, smart, literate, mentally alert, a person of solid opinions.

He may be a good teacher and a good debater if you draw him out into such discussion. He is objective, fair, concerned with issues of fairness ... and loves an intellectual challenge. Questions without easy, pat answers appeal to him.

This energy may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality coming to the forefront to aid you or promote their own further development. It may also represent good news about something you think, it may provide information or a piece of knowledge you need to have, or it may "fill in the blanks" on some intellectual concern.

It may also give you a chance to exchange ideas with someone who shares your interests -- or teach you something new. This energy deals frequently in written or spoken messages. You are, however, aware of its presence ... and are able to make direct use of the benefits it brings.

You have created circumstances where there is a huge disparity between the quality (and perhaps quantity) of work you do and the amount you are paid in return. You may be charging top dollar for incompetent, poor-quality products and services. You may be cutting corners, trying to "scoot by" with as little effort as possible, and you may even be doing things that border on fraud.

Or you may be dealing with people who are treating you this way, abusing your craftsmanship, not appreciating the effort you put out on their behalf, and trying to "get something for nothing" by giving you back as little as they can possibly get away with. If you are putting up with this treatment, you are shamefully complying in your own exploitation. Abuse is abuse ... and "good intentions" don't do much to change its ugly appearances or sad results.

There are indications in this energy that someone's vanity is way out of control ... that he is unjustifiably proud of himself, smug in his ability to beat the system, fleece the "suckers," ride on other people's coattails, or get what he wants "for free", not understanding (or maybe not caring) about the karmic implications and eventual backlash being created by his choices.

Realize, too, there is not much honor in playing the perpetual victim if you are the one on the short end of the stick here ... and are staying there so you can criticize others or use self-pity as a building block in the self-righteous image you may have of yourself.

By skirting the law -- cosmic law, human law, and the physical law of cause-and-effect, you are misapplying your skills, not respecting yourself, not insisting that others grow and behave themselves better, getting lost in the pettiness of life, bogged down in "the small stuff," and definitely going about things in the wrong way.

No matter which side of this transaction you are on ... as the perpetrator or the victim of this abuse, these are not circumstances to be proud of, and the longer you let them continue the harder it will be to break the habit. So you need to get to work on that ... and soon. You are too focused on short terms gains ... and taking the easy way out.

At this point, you at least understand as fully as you need to that this is happening ... and have some idea about the eventual cost this will entail to you if it continues. You are able to work with this issue directly and honestly -- and that's the first step to getting it fixed. This matter now has your complete attention -- and is having considerable impact on your decisions and your thinking.

You are in a situation where there is "no victory" or where the success you are aiming for just isn't coming together properly. Possibly the success you gained isn't the one you thought you wanted. This card may reflect a lack of commitment to your own goals ... or self-sabotaging habits that are costing you more than you realize. You may also be in denial about just how powerful these effects are ... and how much damage these influences are causing ... which doesn't help you at all in your efforts to cope with or correct them.

You are in a time of unexpected, serious, and sudden changes. This energy is that of disruption, sweeping -- even catastrophic -- changes and adjustments. Old ideas -- even previous ways of living ... are coming to an end. This may indicate a breakdown in conditions you'd considered solid, permanent, and reliable. It may be brought about by a sudden insight ... or information you'd not previously known -- or been taking into account.

Realize that dramatic as these experiences may be, they can also usher in times of considerable improvement. You are releasing old ways of life, old habits. This may coincide with a dramatic expansion of consciousness or perspective. There is also the possibility of a disturbing "message of truth" you will have to accommodate. You may find you literally see the world as never before. Your whole picture of reality may be different.

This is a change in your overall view of life and your psychological programming. A basic belief about yourself, your circumstances, and "the way the world works" is in the making. Keep reminding yourself, times of crisis can also be ones of great growth. You may not yet understand that this substantial change is underway ... or you may not yet know how to deal with its ramifications. You may also be in denial that these changes will be so far reaching or make the differences that will eventually emerge.

Soon, you will meet someone who will help you work through what is happening here. This person is artistic, creative, well in touch with his (or her) emotions. He has a deep respect for life and living things, and a compassion that enables him to work constructively with less fortunate, dependent people. He is an idealist ... especially when it comes to love and his ability to work with others.

He is charming and enjoys people -- friends and family in particular. He is a dreamer ... and may be something of a mystic. He can help you "find what's in your heart" regarding the matter you are working with. He may also be able to show you the hidden, emotional, or artistic dimensions of your situation.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.

Ultimately, you may meet someone as a result of this situation. It exists in the presence of a powerful person of character and integrity who commands considerable influence and force. This could be another person ... someone whose leadership abilities and dedication to self-actualized goals are a compelling part of his nature, someone who leads by example ... and sets a most impressive tone with the choices he makes in his own life.

This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, effective, authoritative, and brave. He (or she!) is a good counselor and a person of sound moral fortitude. He is someone you can both count on and confide in, independent, responsible, and solid. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this candor and strength among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them. It can have a strong influence on your opinions, views, and choices in this matter.
