Your direction is unclear ... and you may have no good answers for the problems that still face you. This energy is the feeling of being "locked in," trapped, unable to accomplish anything to put your troubles behind you. You need to rethink your choices ... and change some of your fundamental attitudes. You may not have information you need ... or some of your thinking may be skewed and unproductive.

You feel irritated, exasperated, unable to find meaning -- or clarity. This is the sensation of trying to swim against the current ... and needing to make major adjustments in your opinions, ideas, viewpoints, and intellectual positions. You may not see a good way out of this dilemma at the moment ... or ways to compensate for the problems it is causing you, but at least at this point you are able to work with this energy openly and directly, trying to find ways out of the complications it adds to your issue.

Meanwhile, you're coping with a period of "not accomplishing anything constructive," of facing incompetence -- your own or that of others, of being "unprepared" for the problems you're facing, and of trying to reorient your values toward "achieving something worthwhile and profitable" again.

This may have become quite a drain on your reserves temporarily, but at least you're able to deal with it directly and openly in seeking a solution. Your attention is really focused on this issue at the moment.

You have an important asset in your situation. You are in a position of strength ... where you can use your own force, fortitude, and power to great advantage. This energy contains tremendous energy, steadfastness, and self-confidence. You have access to abundant sources of inner power ... that you can use to your own benefit out in the real world. You are willing to take on challenging projects with the determination to follow them through to success.

You are in a situation that contains considerable dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or in what you are being told. The information you are working with is unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast.

You may not see a good way around this at the moment ... or how to compensate for the problems it is causing you. You may even be in denial that it is happening ... or unaware how much it could cost you ultimately if it continues.

Soon, you will meet a person who is honorable, trustworthy, self-confident, and likeable. This is someone who renders sound judgments, has strong personal values, knows who she (or he!!) is and what she stands for. She is dignified, decisive, competent ... and knows how to support the growth and development of others as well as direct her own evolutionary path with wisdom and integrity.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future.

Ultimately, you will meet a person who is honorable, trustworthy, self-confident, and likeable.
