This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are coping with a problem personality -- or destructive set of attitudes. This person is domineering, obstinate, vengeful, cruel. She (or he!) places too much emphasis on her own image -- and is insecure in this identity. She is insincere, shallow, condescending, jealous ... and may pick at or find fault with others in order to undermine their confidence. This may be a tactic to build up her own flagging, unsteady self-image.

This person is also demanding, petty, rigid, vain, lacking in compassion and sympathy. Her attitudes are narrow-minded, bitter, controlling, ruthlessly competitive, and angry. She is self-absorbed, self-centered, and may be given to "ambushing" people -- as a tactic for gaining power. About the best that can be said of this energy is ... it's out in the open where you can work with and confront it directly. It's very easy to spot it ... and tell what's going on.

This may, indeed, be another person you have to cope with -- or it may be an inner personality of yours that is causing trouble, and that has come to the surface now so you can confront and correct its counterproductive effects.

Alternatively: This may be a signal you need to turn inward and reconnect with the inner self that provides confidence, leadership, and support for your sense of who you are and what you can do. This may require some deliberate effort and a recognition that you are badly out of touch with these important character components. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

You also have a valuable asset in your situation. Someone who is empathetic, supportive, and loving. She (or he) may be dedicated to home, family, friends, and her partner. She is in touch with her feelings and intuitions ... and honors these qualities in others. She brings joy, compassion, and sympathy to situations where her counsel is needed -- and helpful. She uses her emotional empathy to help others find their own answers, their own way, their own destiny.

She is sensitive to her surroundings, and may be creative, artistic, musical, or poetic in her interests. She enjoys serene, tranquil surroundings, and values the time in her own life to dream, imagine, and contemplate. She may support the dreams of others at the expense of her own best interests and development. She is "motherly," insightful, peace-loving, devoted, and faithful.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future.

You have circumstances of joy, love, satisfaction, and delight available to you -- and you know how to make the most of this asset. This has a tremendous influence on your thinking ... and in the choices you make.

You have someone available to help you with this matter. This person is interested in his own self-development and firm in his personal identity. His integrity is sound. He can be counted on to deliver truth and honesty. When he's around, he makes a definite impression. He is individualistic, very much his own person ... and wants to be where the action is.

He has unmistakable personal charisma, and considers himself a leader -- but he can be a little too pushy for some people's taste. He simply knows how to get things done -- and isn't shy about doing whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He is energetic, intense, impulsive and always "on the go," or "in a hurry."

He can be impetuous, vigorous, enthusiastic, restless, and competitive. He loves adventure, and he loves winning. He also loves life -- and plays the game of it exceedingly well. He is brave, self-aware, confident and dramatic. He is demonstrative, outgoing, warm, generous ... and wants to "shine". He most definitely wants to be noticed.

He may also be able to show you where your own leadership and initiative will benefit the circumstances of your situation. This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.

You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly. This person ... or these attitudes ... have a significant influence on your thinking and decisions now.

You have an unused asset in your situation ... the ability to make choices and take action. Circumstances may be trying to force a move -- or you may just need to do something to break a feeling of impasse and "getting nowhere." At the moment, however, you're not applying this option to your own benefit. You may not realize it's available -- or you may be too anxious (or not desperate enough) to act on its urging.

Soon, you are heading into a situation where doubt, pessimism, and a stubborn lack of perception -- almost a resolute failure to "get the message" or "see the truth" are very much in evidence. This may include a loss of hope or faith, feelings of rejection and confusion, a serious identity crisis, and having to handle the serious problems stemming from your own lack of bad judgment.

You may have a pervasive negative attitude to overcome. You will be coming to terms with past mistakes and trying hard to put things -- including your own experiences -- into perspective. You will feel helpless, victimized, uninspired, and "in the dark." At the very least, boredom and a lack of new goals will cause you considerable aggravation.

This is a time of sadness ... and sufficient discontent to cause mental and emotional problems. Your poor self-image and failure to use your own talents properly may be major causes of your defeated hopes. Your self-doubt not only has sabotaged your past at this point ... it continues to corrupt and jeopardize your future. You need to connect with your personal stamina, convictions, and courage again.

Ultimately, you will have to cope with someone who has a very impaired sense of self-discipline and a suspicious sense of morality. He may be known for running his "con games" ... both literal and emotional as a tactic for manipulating people and getting his own way. He is dishonest, shady, and out to feather his own nest. He may also be given to addictive habits and patterns. He is always looking for his own advantage ... and that may be all he's interested in.

He will compromise his conscience for gain ... and the exploitation of others. He takes advantage of people's generosity and compassion ... and manipulates them by appealing to their guilt, pity, or their own ideals and better natures. He is very troubled emotionally -- and while he may put on a good front, his personal life is chaotic and undisciplined.

He may make a big show of "helping other people" ... when he should be paying attention to -- and working on -- his own problems. He may play up his "sensitive and caring nature" ... and the fact that his feelings can be easily hurt -- as a way of gaining control over others. The fact is, he is closed, manipulative, and stingy. The sympathy and help he offers is usually bogus ... and the support he tenders will collapse if others really lean on him ... or try to rely on what he offers.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected, that have come to the fore for attention or adjustment.
