You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast.
