This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

A "problem personality" dominates your situation, someone fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return.

You recognize the problems this person ... or these attitudes ... cause, seeing them for what they are. It is possible this also represents a part of your personality -- or attitudes triggered in you by the stressful conditions you are involved with.

Alternatively: This card can mean that you need to go inward, reconnect with your own sources of creativity, self-nourishment, and self-love. It may be time for you to start treating yourself as well as you try to treat others, to get back on your own side for a change, and to remember and honor all the wonderful things you are. You cannot give away what you don't have in the first place, and it may be time for you to replenish your emotional stock.

If this meaning resonates to you more than the above description of a problematic personality, then consider that this message is the one the card intends to deliver to you.

Complicating matters at the moment, you are dealing with the results of foolish choices, wrong choices, choices based on fear and despair ... or where you simply refused to commit to a solid course of action, one way or the other. You may feel paralyzed, depressed, stalled, pessimistic ... and even paranoid.

You need to be open to new possibilities. You may have closed down several possible productive alternatives. You need to open up and see what arrives for your further consideration. You may not have the right attitude. You may not be open to success. You may be too much of a "reactor" rather than an actor in your life. You may just be scared to take the risks that face you.

This may not be your most productive arrangement by any means. You need to rethink your situation -- considerably. You do, however, have this problem out in the open where you can see its effects ... and work with it consciously and deliberately. It may be a handicap, but at least it's not unfolding behind your back.

The lack of joy in your situation, the blocked emotional fulfillment, frustration, and depression are all too evident. You may be facing a lack of real love, manipulation of yourself or others "in the name of love," and a deep sense of genuine unhappiness. You are not doing anything you enjoy.

You don't trust your situation -- or the conditions in it. You feel you lack the necessary support of others around you ... and the basic pleasures you have a right to expect. You may feel unwanted, abandoned, deceived, unsupported, and unable to offer love and support to others. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be "taking and using" -- and that will exhaust everyone concerned before long. You are actively looking for ways to solve this.

It has your complete attention now ... and you realize the detrimental effect this has on your thinking and your life.

You are spinning your wheels, going through an old familiar cycle of rising hope ... followed by disappointment and dashed expectations. You are caught in a lesson you haven't learned yet ... at least not well enough to move on. And now, you are going through the motions of this all too well-known dance step ... one more time.

You need to move to a place of balance, stability, new insights, and greater equilibrium. You have this available, but you don't seem to be using it to your own best advantage. Here adjustments are easily made. You have the self-control and patience you need. There are conditions of cooperation and compromise available, more flexibility, sufficient moderation, and the integration you need for peace of mind.

You may start to see greater symmetry in your life ... perhaps in the midst of paradox. You may also see possibilities and combinations others (and even you yourself) have not considered. You will find ways to synthesize and moderate conflicting requirements ... in one of the most positive uses of your own creative energy you may have seen in a long time. But at the moment, it may not be clear to you how this will come together.

You are moving soon toward circumstances that include adequate recognition and compensation for the services you perform and the work you do. It is a condition of achievement and competence ... where you receive what you have earned, including appreciation and financial payment. You are working on something that will serve you well in the future -- and acquiring the skills and assets you need to improve yourself and your circumstances. You will be able to take pride in your accomplishments and the reputation you have because of them.

Ultimately, you will come to a time of reckoning and resolution in this matter. There will be a rebalancing of the Cosmic Scales ... and a sense of justice and equilibrium restored. There may also be somehow a sense of a "fair verdict" delivered, or "judgment rendered," or some other kind of legally binding or contractual arrangement that formalizes this closure.

You will be centered, truthful, diplomatic, honest, fair, and grounded -- and treated this way by others. It may involve mediating some dispute ... or reaching conditions of cooperation and compromise.
