This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

In the circumstances of your life now, you are dealing with a lot of impatience. You may be making or have recently made some moves that were not well-considered and which do not have the support you need to make the most of the changes they bring. You could also be letting other people dominate your thinking and "make your decisions for you."

You are not considering your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or abilities in ways that offer you the full range of available potentials. You may, instead, be kicking up misunderstandings, opposition ... or at the least a lack of cooperation from those you need to help you succeed in this present venture. You may also be coping with a lot of mixed messages and your own ambivalence.

As long as things are jumbled as they are regarding this energy of "missing alliances and no support," you might be wise to pause and wait for things to clear before proceeding. Right now you are not heading toward a successful result or the advantageous use of what you are working with.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you have decided to "go back to the drawing board" in terms of partners and allies, outside resources, or your own mixed feelings on this matter and try to reorganize this part of your situation into something more cohesive. There may not be much difference showing in the outside world yet, but you are making some important inner changes and behind the scenes adjustments that will be better in the long run.

If this meaning resonates strongly with you regarding your present situation, consider that it also is a message the card is suggesting for you to receive.

A problem "personality factor" is affecting your situation, someone who is financially dependent, ill, or physically helpless. She (or he) may be impractical, wasteful, status-conscious, materialistic, superficial, judgmental, and irresponsible. She may be making no use of her own abilities, not trying to care for herself physically, unable to manage her economic life, and constantly in need of support and rescue.

She may blame others for her problems, be critical, fault-finding, and hard to get along with, have a confused professional life or unrealistic ambitions, and be full of great dreams and fantasies -- but with no actual achievement to back them up.

This may be another person. This may be the response elicited from you as a result of the stress you are having to handle, or it may be one of your own inner selves coming to your attention for you to notice and adjust. It is having a significant influence on your thinking and your choices at this point.

Alternatively: This card could be suggesting that you need to step back, go inward, and consider how you are failing to nourish yourself properly, or failing to provide for and support yourself properly. You may be trying to "take care of everybody else" ... to your own detriment. It's time to reconsider the load you are trying to handle ... and what you may be getting in return for all the effort you are spending.

If you resonate to this meaning more than to the presence of a problem person ... or a difficult set of your own attitudes, it is likely this is the message the card is sending to you.

You are in a situation where you were "caught unprepared" for the challenge you face. You may be feeling pressure from superior opposition or some kind of competition where you are ill-equipped to prevail. The upshot is, you are not ready to defend yourself or your position adequately. You feel threatened, "taken advantage of," and outmaneuvered.

You may be unable or unwilling to do what is needed or successfully confront your adversaries. You may choose to turn and run rather than stand your ground. You may simply lack the courage and willpower to deal with what is present. This is an energy of feeling anxious, uncomfortable, outnumbered, unpopular, powerless, friendless, and victimized. You may feel there isn't much you can do to compensate for or correct the situation, but it does have your full attention at this point -- and you realize the effect these circumstances have on your thinking and your choices.

You are in circumstances of happiness, support, positive relationships, stable emotional conditions, and tremendous satisfaction. Life is reliable, predictable, secure, peaceful, good. This is a time when you can rely on your feelings, know what to expect, what you can count on, and who your "friends" are. This is an asset you can use to tremendous advantage now.

You are in a time of unexpected, serious, and sudden changes. This energy is that of disruption, sweeping -- even catastrophic -- changes and adjustments. Old ideas -- even previous ways of living ... are coming to an end. This may indicate a breakdown in conditions you'd considered solid, permanent, and reliable. It may be brought about by a sudden insight ... or information you'd not previously known -- or been taking into account.

Realize that dramatic as these experiences may be, they can also usher in times of considerable improvement. You are releasing old ways of life, old habits. This may coincide with a dramatic expansion of consciousness or perspective. There is also the possibility of a disturbing "message of truth" you will have to accommodate. You may find you literally see the world as never before. Your whole picture of reality may be different.

This is a change in your overall view of life and your psychological programming. A basic belief about yourself, your circumstances, and "the way the world works" is in the making. Keep reminding yourself, times of crisis can also be ones of great growth. You may not yet understand that this substantial change is underway ... or you may not yet know how to deal with its ramifications. You may also be in denial that these changes will be so far reaching or make the differences that will eventually emerge.

Soon, you will reach a time of decisions, integration, synthesis, and harmony. It may involve a new relationship -- or a redefined relationship with someone you already know. It will involve making decisions, reaching a crossroads, choosing wise and balanced options. This is a time of wholeness, union, self-actualization, agreement, compromise and cooperation. You may solve a problem ... or find something that "fulfills you." This situation may involve combining different elements to create a third "entity" ... which is the solution to a dilemma.

You are ultimately heading for an experience of emotional loss -- perhaps something from your past or part of your personal history that shows up again to haunt you. This may be something you know to expect -- something you have been able to predict, because the pain of this encounter is lessened somehow by its familiarity. This is a sad place you've walked through before -- perhaps in other guises ... but you know how this song goes -- and, worse, how it ends.

The feelings here are regret, resignation, sorrow -- but with a sense of "déjà vu". As I said ... you've been through this -- or coped with it -- before This may be a lesson you need to meet one more time -- as a way of helping you finally find the ways to get past it!! However, despite the brave front you may manage to put on ... this is still something that could hurt -- more than you realize.
