This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

A "problem personality" dominates your situation, someone fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return.

You recognize the problems this person ... or these attitudes ... cause, seeing them for what they are. It is possible this also represents a part of your personality -- or attitudes triggered in you by the stressful conditions you are involved with.

Alternatively: This card can mean that you need to go inward, reconnect with your own sources of creativity, self-nourishment, and self-love. It may be time for you to start treating yourself as well as you try to treat others, to get back on your own side for a change, and to remember and honor all the wonderful things you are. You cannot give away what you don't have in the first place, and it may be time for you to replenish your emotional stock.

If this meaning resonates to you more than the above description of a problematic personality, then consider that this message is the one the card intends to deliver to you.

Your situation contains a place of balance, stability, new insights, and greater equilibrium. You have this available, at least on an intellectual level, within the confines of your own mind, and you know it. Here adjustments are easily made. You have the self-control and patience you need. There are conditions of cooperation and compromise available, more flexibility, sufficient moderation, and the integration you need for peace of mind.

You may see greater symmetry in your life ... perhaps in the midst of paradox. You may also see possibilities and combinations others (and even you yourself) have not considered before. You are finding ways to synthesize and moderate conflicting requirements ... in one of the most positive uses of your own creative energy you may have seen in a long time.

You are in a situation that places an extremely heavy emphasis on material success, money, public status, and "creating the right image." This may involve experiences of serious discontent, depression, and even illness -- as this represents an extraordinary perversion of the natural desire for safety, honor, and respect. This energy turns the need for fame, reputation, achievement, and respect into an obsession ... which will stoop to force, coercion, manipulation, exploitation, and abuse in order to accomplish its ends.

This represents action without understanding, without compassion, without accountability, and without considering the results and effects of what one has set in motion. It often involved someone's overweening ego ... and actions taken out of inordinate pride or in order to "save face" or gain importance. There is a lack of consideration, a pervasive attitude of selfishness and concern for appearances that creates a miserable existence.

Life at this point is seriously off track and out of kilter -- and a major crash in order to make a course correction in these circumstances may loom before too long. You may be either the victim or the perpetrator of these conditions ... but regardless of which side of the equation you fall on, you need to get this fixed -- for everyone's sake.

You do harm even to the one you allow to treat you this way if you let this arrangement continue. You will do untold harm to yourself if you are the one putting this deplorable situation into motion in the first place. You may not see a good way out of this mess ... or how to compensate for the problems it is causing, but at least at this point you do understand this is happening ... and that it needs to be corrected ASAP. You are able to deal with this matter openly and directly now. It has your full attention ... and considerable influence on your thinking and choices.

You have an interesting asset available in your situation: The ability to reinstate reality on an intellectual level. This often means someone owns up to the truth, makes amends, and comes to terms honestly with what has happened. You may give credit to someone you have treated unfairly or apologize to someone you have harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you will decide to set the record straight. At this point you realize this is either possible or necessary.

Properly used, this energy indicates that recognition and credit are given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have existed. You will be able to make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth. You are able to openly, deliberately put this into effect.

You can bring about basic clarification and allow atonements to take place. You, or someone, is able to listen, get the message, learn the lesson, and accept the necessary consequences of past actions. At last, you are no longer fooling yourself, accepting pretty "cover stories," or living in fantasies that have no connection to reality.

It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be, and now you can apply its advantages to your own benefit.

You are in a time of reckoning and resolution in this matter. There will be a rebalancing of the Cosmic Scales ... and a sense of justice and equilibrium restored. There may be somehow a sense of a "fair verdict" delivered, or "judgment rendered," or some other kind of legally binding or contractual arrangement that formalizes this closure.

This is a time to be centered, truthful, diplomatic, honest, fair, and grounded. It may involve mediating some dispute ... or reaching conditions of cooperation and compromise. You may not yet realize how this is at work in the situation you see on the surface -- or the benefits that what is unfolding now may bring to you. But this will become more apparent in just a little while.

Soon, you will realize the presence of a powerful intellectual force. This may appear in the form of another person ... someone whose mind is his (or her) most compelling feature, someone who is a fighter, a survivor, who doesn't quit when the going gets tough. This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, influential, authoritative, and wise. He shows great intelligence and originality in his work ... and his counsel is priceless.

He is able to generate a wide range of helpful ideas, thought, concepts and designs. His knowledge is one of his greatest virtues ... and his ability to apply that in practical ways makes him an invaluable counselor and confidante. He may be more rational than sentimental, more hard-headed than soft-hearted, but he does have an important and powerful role to play in your life ... at least temporarily.

He is fair-minded, in command of himself, and able to think his way through tough issues and arrive at workable, moral solutions. He is focused, assertive, shrewd, insightful, and genuine. He is also self-disciplined, articulate, impartial, and philosophical. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this wisdom among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them.

Ultimately, you are heading into a time of unexpected, serious, and sudden changes. This energy is that of disruption, sweeping -- even catastrophic -- changes and adjustments. Old ideas -- even previous ways of living ... end. This may indicate a breakdown in conditions you'd considered solid, permanent, and reliable. It may be brought about by a sudden insight ... or information you'd not previously known -- or been taking into account.

Realize that dramatic as these experiences may be, they can also usher in times of considerable improvement. You are releasing old ways of life, old habits. This may coincide with a dramatic expansion of consciousness or perspective. There is also the possibility of a disturbing "message of truth" you will have to accommodate. You may find you literally see the world as never before. Your whole picture of reality may be different.

This is a change in your overall view of life and your psychological programming. A basic belief about yourself, your circumstances, and "the way the world works" is in the making. Keep reminding yourself, times of crisis can also be ones of great growth.
