This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

A "personality" is at the center of your situation presently. This person is quick witted, knowledgeable, a person of forceful opinions and intellectual power. He has determination, the deep courage of his convictions, and a willingness to stand up for his ideas and views.

He is honest and communicative, focused and goal-directed when it comes to learning ... and teaching. He is a writer, a thinker, a speaker, a lover of truth. He assertively promotes his opinions, shares what he knows, renders sound judgments, and may be both persuasive and opinionated.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly.

You are dealing with significantly changed circumstances ... ones that result from a long process of evolution and development. They are connected to internal changes in you, with a clear relationship between inner changes having caused outer changes ... and outer changes prompting even more inner ones. This shift in the paradigm of your life is still in progress -- but at this point you are able to deal openly and directly with the ramifications.

In your outlook, ideas, and opinions on this matter, you have a situation where serious imbalances prevail, where competing interests, separation, and quarrelling are very much part of the atmosphere. The supporting energy in this arrangement is that of bad management and bad judgment, overweening pride, arrogance, and pretentiousness. There is a lot of wasted energy to cope with, a failure to understand others (or feel understood yourself) ... and where stress, frustration, and chaos abound.

You may have arrived here by leaping without looking, pushed hard on an issue where force was not the answer, applied rash, ill-considered ideas, or failed to consider sound advice and different approaches. Now, of course, you have to cope with these problems ... and work to restore harmony as part of your evolution -- and build a bridge out of this mess.

You may be very scattered and unfocused in your own feelings, intentions, or goals -- and willing to entertain radical solutions, but at least you understand what you are up against. You are able to work with this energy directly -- probably by realizing you need to settle down, become more centered and balanced, and give wiser consideration to the choices you're making and the efforts you're investing. At this point, you better understand the scope of what you're facing, and this energy has significant influence on your thinking at the moment.

There is also a problem personality complicating the picture, someone who qualifies as a real trouble-maker. There is a sly cunning to this character, and a secretive, scheming "mean streak" that may make him (or her) particularly hard to get along with. Attitudes of aggression, sarcasm, cynicism, and pettiness dominate -- along with an insufferable spirit of narcissism that may be almost impossible to stomach. You have finally begun to understand how important it is for you to deal with this person ... and the attitudes that accompany him.

Alternatively: You may realize how much you need to focus on your own unproductive ideas, opinions, beliefs, and prejudices ... and make some corrections in the way you view and handle this matter so as to stop being part of the problem instead of part of the solution. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult "other person" as described above, this is likely the message this card is offering to you.

Alternatively: You may need to refocus on your own thinking, opinions, and the way you express your ideas. You may be acting on wrong information. Your prejudices or a serious misunderstanding of the facts could be having too much influence on your thinking. You may be pushing your opinions too hard and alienating others from considering your views objectively. You may realize you've been too one-sided in your thinking or that you haven't been listening well.

You may have decided to pull back for a while and reconsider some of your stronger views and the way you express them that could actually be either misguided ... or hurting your own cause. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person or unproductive set of personal attitudes, consider that this is the message the card is giving you on the matter at hand.

You have an unused asset in your situation. You have reached a point of material stability, professional competence, career recognition, and financial success. You may not be wildly wealthy, but you have steady employment, are able to use your talents and resources to good advantage, and can hold on to what you earn. You are in a profitable, stable situation with solid foundations -- and you will be able to stay there. You may not yet realize this is the case. You may not know if you can trust it. But you do have resources here that you are not using to your own benefit.

Soon, you will encounter a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes.. This may involve someone who has -- or causes -- chronic financial problems, someone who is impractical, irresponsible, physically lazy, and who "uses" people ... especially to his own financial advantage.

Your situation may also contain attitudes that are unethical, calculating, financially stingy -- or financially greedy, and where "doing things the easy way" is a primary concern. Accommodating him (or her!) may be chronically costly to your career progress, your pocketbook, and your physical health.

Because energy is always a two-way street -- this may represent another person in your situation, or it may be a side of your personality you are reluctant to confront or control. You may not even want to admit it exists.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you need to do some serious work to refocus your thinking about money, business decisions, commercial transactions, and the use of time and other resources. It can mean a new way of conducting your financial life and managing your economic situation is waiting to unfold ... and you need to do the inner work -- and the groundwork -- to discover it.

If the description of the difficult personality above doesn't seem to fit your circumstances, or if this interpretation resonates more emphatically with the situation you are handling, then consider this to be the message the card is offering you.

Eventually, you will realize the presence of a powerful intellectual force. This may appear in the form of another person ... someone whose mind is his (or her) most compelling feature, someone who is a fighter, a survivor, who doesn't quit when the going gets tough. This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, influential, authoritative, and wise. He shows great intelligence and originality in his work ... and his counsel is priceless.

He is able to generate a wide range of helpful ideas, thought, concepts and designs. His knowledge is one of his greatest virtues ... and his ability to apply that in practical ways makes him an invaluable counselor and confidante. He may be more rational than sentimental, more hard-headed than soft-hearted, but he does have an important and powerful role to play in your life ... at least temporarily.

He is fair-minded, in command of himself, and able to think his way through tough issues and arrive at workable, moral solutions. He is focused, assertive, shrewd, insightful, and genuine. He is also self-disciplined, articulate, impartial, and philosophical. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this wisdom among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them.
