This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. You are in a situation that is sterile and unsatisfying. These are circumstances where you -- or someone influential in your situation -- is frittering away resources, wasting energy, and courting a whole roster of problems -- physical, financial, emotional, psychological.

This situation contains a serious lack of love and support. You may feel rejected, depressed, deprived, and unable to muster the energy to start anything new. This energy describes a lack of productivity, chaotic circumstances, feelings of emptiness and withdrawal, considerable pain, and the failure to use your creative talents to bring about the desired and necessary changes. You may feel there isn't much you can to do compensate for or correct the situation -- but at least the challenge is out in the open where you can work with it consciously and directly.

There is also a "personality problem" on the scene, someone malicious, cruel, sarcastic, intolerant, and prone to use his or her superior mental gifts and hurtful tongue as weapons in a situation of "warfare."

This may be another person ... or this may be a side of your character, brought out into the open as a result of the stress you are enduring.

There is tremendous anger in this person -- and great destructive potential -- but at least they are "out in the open" now where you can face them directly, instead of having constantly to watch your back and wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

Alternatively: This card can mean that you have decided to step back, go inward, and consult your Inner Scholar about the best course of action to take ... and how to handle the challenges you are facing at the moment. If you resonate more to this meaning than to the presence of a difficult personality or counterproductive attitude such as those described above, it is likely this is the suggestion the card has for you now -- to help you deal with this energy more productively.

You have reached a time of celebration, joy, success, and satisfaction. This may only be an interim stage of resolution for this issue overall, but at least it is a triumphant one. You are pleased by and appreciated for what you have accomplished, and this frame of mind has considerable influence on your opinions and choices now.

You are in a situation where you are determined to play by your own rules, rebel against the status quo, and do your own thing instead of just placidly doing as you're told. You may be dealing with unconventional ideas and implementing solutions that show considerable free thinking. In this situation, your independence is paramount ... and you may go to substantial lengths to maintain it, even if this isn't the most popular thing to do.

You will bring this matter to a successful conclusion, but at the moment you may not know this. Or you may not know how.

Soon, you will meet someone as a result of this matter -- or who will help you work through what is happening here. This person is focused on his professional development, determined to make a successful career for himself, shows financial wisdom and savvy business sense, and knows how to achieve practical results.

He is patient, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, and resourceful. He takes pride in doing a good job ... and is both conservative and hard-working.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.

You are moving toward an ultimate resolution where your "only choice" is perseverance, moving forward, probably against resistance and with difficulty. You will be dealing with heavy burdens of work and responsibility -- probably assumed as a result of your own success. You may need to delegate and make others carry their fair share of the load -- but when push really comes to shove, you will be the only one who can really make things happen and fulfill the requirements that are present here.

You may feel weighted down with worries and concerns, but still required to carry on -- because again, the buck stops with you and you are the only person able to do what has to be done. These circumstances may feel extremely oppressive ... and you may have to decide if you have really bitten off more than you can chew in handling this matter. You will be seriously over-committed and lacking in time for yourself -- or anything else.

You may need to get rid of what you no longer need, find help wherever you can, and get ready for a new level of growth -- because you've gotten about all that's available for you here ... except "more of the same."
