When The Sun is square to Neptune, serious potentials for self-deception and self-sabotage arise. Often this energy brings a failure to use your abilities wisely -- or to your own advantage -- because of misconceptions or fears that spring from another area of your life. You tend to underestimate yourself or not see yourself clearly.

Your perception of reality is distorted now ... and any tendency toward self-sabotage or toward making self-destructive choices is heightened. This includes a strong desire for escapist pursuits ... including addictions ... as a way of avoiding responsibility and self-discipline. There is also a strong desire to "believe what you want to believe" when it comes to fantasies and other pleasurable pastimes.
