Mars Direct in Taurus

In Astrology, Mars represents your ability to take assertive action; your capacity for aggression; your outward sexual expression. Taurus is involved with issues of money, income, possessions, financial management, and buying habits. Mars represents your ability to take assertive action; your capacity for aggression; your outward sexual expression; your use of energy, force and willpower to achieve your ambitions and desires; your ability to be direct and independent; and your competitive spirit.

When Mars is in Taurus, people focus on actions and favor ambitions that are stable and well-planned, financially profitable, and conserving of physical energy and other resources. They use tactics and perspectives that are gracious, helpful, patient, gentle, and "nice." They definitely prefer to "catch flies with honey" -- and to do it as effortlessly as possible.

Mars, going direct, will now bring action based on "new work" and new building that has taken place over the past few months -- ever since Mars turned retrograde in October. Important changes in your financial management strategies, income production possibilities, and personal values have occurred in the meantime. These will come onstage in more obvious ways as Mars returns to the degree at which it turned retrograde ... 23 degrees of Taurus -- a milestone we will eventually pass in February of next year.

Presently, Mars is opposing Jupiter in Scorpio ... part of a Grand Fixed Cross involving Mars in Taurus, Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Leo, and Neptune in Aquarius. This describes continuing impatience and frustration regarding money matters ... a mood that will continue well into next year -- until Mars finally breaks away from this traffic jam and ends its opposition to Jupiter -- eventually moving into Gemini where its position sextile to Saturn will bring some welcome relief to this strained and irritable mood in the world.
