The Sun in Capricorn

The Sun represents your ego, your basic sense of yourself. The sign it occupies in the Zodiac at any given time tends to focus your ego and interests on certain "generic matters" represented by the sign itself. You are also more likely to experience and express the personal characteristics represented by the sign involved.

When the Sun is in Capricorn, people tend to use their personal energy more conservatively, deliberately, and with dignity and determination than they may at other times.

They value behaviors and methods that are frugal, methodical, organized, persistent, serious, practical, responsible, and prudent. There is also emphasis on abstract concerns like public reputation, professional accomplishments, career direction, the accumulation of status and prestige, and the honor they are able to claim in the eyes of the world.

They may further be concerned with authority issues, social and business positions, matters of public image, and dealings with institutions such as governments and corporations.

Under stress, people may be unusually depressed, pessimistic, unapproachable, lonely, fearful, critical, unsympathetic, cynical, humorless, intolerant and feel burdened and limited by the responsibilities they are required to handle.
