Update on the Grand Fixed Cross

The lessening of tensions between Mars and Saturn, however, is happening now (at long last!!) and will continue.

This part of the Grand Cross is breaking apart ... or "separating" as Astrologers say it. In real life, this signals a dwindling of the frustration, impatience, and seething anger over the next several weeks. In late February / early March, there will actually be an alliance between Mars and Saturn as these two decide to work together instead of banging heads ... signified by the sextile between Mars in Gemini and Saturn -- still in Leo.

Saturn remains in retrograde until the early part of April ... and passes the degree at which it went retrograde on about July 10. Saturn went into retrograde on November 22 last year ... so you can see the length of time you have to retrench, rearrange the area of your life where Saturn is presently in transit ... and get ready to make progress again this summer on this important piece of personal effort.

In late June / early July, Mars and Saturn will actually be conjunct to one another in Leo ... so this area of your chart that contains the conjunction will get a real boost this summer. It should be enough to make up for most of the teeth-grinding you've invested here recently! Saturn / Mars conjunctions provide some of the best drive and energy to be had!!

Meanwhile, the exact opposition between Mars and Jupiter will be forming soon (on Sunday morning.) ... and the final square between Mars and Neptune follows quickly after that ... on Wednesday morning, the 18th. Then the influence of Mars as a player in this mess will dissipate noticeably in early February.

Even now, retrograding Saturn at 9° Leo is moving out of range to continue annoying Neptune at 16° Aquarius and Jupiter at 15° Scorpio. (Aspects of more than 8° between planets are considered too weak to carry much impact , especially if the distance will continue to widen ... so we're reaching that point as well at the end of this month. Saturn will be at 8° Leo on January 31 ... and Jupiter and Neptune will both be at 17° of their signs.) So that's another "leg" of the problem that's collapsing, at least temporarily.

That's not the end of the story though ... but we'll talk about the next chapters next week. There's plenty of time left for all of this to unlock and give us better conditions and smoother sailing ... and that advice about taking "one day at a time" isn't just for alcoholics. Astrology addicts are wise to remember it, too, and keep putting one foot in front of the other!

Ok ... it's not exactly light at the end of the tunnel, yet. More like a faint glow. But relief is coming. And it will continue. And sometimes you take what blessings you find ... and are grateful for them. Indeed, this is such a time. And we are all in it together.
