Venus Direct in Capricorn

Venus has turned direct in Capricorn at 16°. It went into retrograde on Christmas Eve and will finally move out of Capricorn in the wee morning hours of March 5th.

It's been a long time of reviewing the professional alliances and projects that affect your public life ... and reorganizing your finances. The review process is pretty much at an end now. You'll firm up some plans and alliances, and make solid decisions about how you want to conduct yourself and your relationships ... especially in your public life.

You're still interested in reliability, dependability, and things you can count on for the future -- both in the people you choose as partners and the money you want to have. You'll ease up and experiment with more liberal attitudes this spring, but right now you want commitments and support systems that play by the rules and meet their responsibilities to you -- and you'll do the same in return.

Except for a very brief dip into Aquarius during the heart of the holidays last year, Venus has been in Capricorn since early November. It has been a long journey ... given that Venus is not terribly comfortable in this stern, disciplined and unromantic sign. Heavy emphasis on status, obligations, structure and the politics of alliance isn't what most people mean when they talk about love. But apparently Life thought we needed an extra-long lesson in the skills this year.
