Mercury in Taurus opposing Jupiter in Scorpio suggests invitations to "overspend" based on partnership commitments that aren't nearly as reliable as they sound. When Mercury opposes Jupiter, you -- and everyone else in the world -- will make commitments based on the best of intentions, saying exactly the right words, making the right gestures, but then discover later that you are unable or unwilling to follow through on these promises.

This is the classic configuration of being "all talk and no action" -- and of going to extremes in what you do say, so that you wind up looking ridiculous or dishonest -- or both -- in the end.

This is also an energy of daydreaming, fantasizing, living ever-so-happily inside your imagination -- while attention to things like logic, planning, and solid, reliable communication goes straight out the window.
