Mercury in Leo opposing Neptune in Aquarius

In Astrology, opposition and square aspects indicate some kind of stress, irritation, or pressure exists in the relationship between the planets involved and what each represents. Oppositions point to personal relationship issues ... problems brought into our lives ... presented by ... or even forced upon us by "other people."

It's often hard to see (or admit) the part we play in these problems, but, of course, because the problems exist for us, we are clearly part of the problem. Planets under stress indicate traits that are ... shall we say ... less than attractive, reactions that come out in response to the frustration or hassle we feel.

Mercury under stress can indicate communication problems, unclear thinking, and one-sided opinions. Mercury stressed in Leo brings out conceit and arrogance. Neptune under stress shows confusion and dishonesty. Neptune stressed in Aquarius is often stuck on some ideal or outrageously crazy notion ... unable or unwilling to "see the light" and be more reasonable.

If you have placements in your Natal Chart near 18° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, it's time to be especially discreet and cautious, in what you think, say, and let yourself believe. Wherever this aspect falls in your Natal Chart, the concerns of the houses which contain Mercury and Neptune are subject to deception, misunderstandings, and secrets.
