Mercury conjunct Mars in Libra

The blend of Mercury and Mars in Libra puts extraordinary emphasis on communication, initiative, and intellectual action with partners. It is a time to generate ideas and act on them in concert with allies and associates. In Astrology, Mercury is the metaphor for mental activity; Mars is the metaphor for enterprise and self-assertion. Libra, the sign of relationship, marriage, and teamwork ... invites agreement, unified action, and assertive diplomacy.

Is that combination a contradiction in terms? Probably ... but remember Mars rules Aries, the polar opposite sign of Libra. Mars is not especially comfortable in this atmosphere of cooperative negotiation, but it will be darn well focused on getting its needs met anyway (!!) even if it does have to work through arbitration, team-efforts, and compromise. This is, however, a great time to see life through "other people's eyes," to form profitable, companionable relationships, and resolve disputes ... even legal issues that have reached both "the boiling point" and the place where participants are ready to listen to each other and come to an accord.
