Life's focus for everyone now is on streamlining .... Under Scorpio's energy, this fact is more dramatically drawn than at other times when endings may be acknowledged -- but are always more comfortably "in the future." It is part of the lesson and legacy appropriate to this powerful, compelling sign.
With a fair part of the Scorpio stellium still passing in square to the loose Saturn / Neptune opposition, this may be a tense and fairly frustrating month of transition and new beginnings. But as I've written in other places, as these planets move from Scorpio into Sagittarius next month -- life in the sky among the celestial citizens, and life here on earth for us as components in the changing cycle, gets easier.
Realize again the planets in Scorpio are not causing the problems. They simply reflect "what exists" now ... and when things "get easier" -- as I just said -- they will then be reflecting "what exists" at that time. The positions of the planets simply are an indicator of what is happening in the evolutionary cycle of life as we know it -- at any given time. That they are such a reliable indicator, however, allows us to see, predict, and describe both the periods of turmoil ... and the periods of calm.

Venus in Sagittarius is interested in connections with philosophical soulmates. It also harbors a love of exploring new ideas, greener pastures, and "the far horizon." It has an exuberant, bouncy way of handling money (and possessions) ... both on the intake and on the outgo. It is truly a charming and enjoyable placement ... while it lasts. Uranus in Pisces, as you know however, is interested in privacy, in achieving "spiritual congruity," and in pretty much doing as it chooses (that's Uranus for you!!) away from interference and prying eyes. And it's willing to do some pretty bizarre things to meet these needs.
So, we have a conflict here between wanting to explore new relationships and income possibilities ... and an emphatic (and not very patient!!) desire to spend time alone with your own thoughts and in seclusion where other people are welcome "by invitation only." See a problem?

We've been toying with this energy since early October ... and if you've worked with this opportunity (and I certainly hope you have!!) ... some of the ideas you've concocted under its guidance are likely pretty spectacular!! Mercury in Scorpio is about reviving ideas and information that you may have discarded previously (or overlooked altogether), reworking existing ideas for better benefits, and combining your knowledge with that of partners for greater mutual profit.
Uranus in Pisces (as I've said again and again) is about living a more custom-designed, spiritually integrated lifestyle. Working together, even in stressed aspects, these two symbols represent an energy of pure genius. Having chewed on this raw material for nearly two months now, as I said, let the games begin.
Back in October, I wrote this:
Start taking notes on your inspirations, your random thoughts, your passing fantasies ... but don't plan to move on anything "permanent" until the first week of December ... when it will be time to move like gang-busters ... and you'd better be on board with the stuff you want to do. By then, Sagittarius energy ... with Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto all in the sign will be dancing a jig all over everyone's life -- and we can thank our lucky stars (no pun intended!) that's usually a good thing!!!
Have a look at the calendar. Sun, Venus, Jupiter, and Pluto are already in Sagittarius. That time of forward motion I mentioned ... is waiting in the wings.

The annual conjunction of the Sun with Jupiter heralds the start of a wonderful period of growth, new ambitions, progress, generosity, advanced learning, and the harvest of more abundance ... in everyone's life. Right now with Jupiter about to enter the "Christmas season sign" of Sagittarius, it feels like a wonderful gift to close out the year. And maybe after so much turmoil and chaos during Scorpio this year ... we can all use the lift!! Give it a little while to pick up some steam ... and for the celestial entourage -- part of which is still meandering through Scorpio -- to catch up and join the party.
Before we're done ... on December 8, 9, and 10 ... there will be SIX planets moving through the bounding and exuberant sign of Sagittarius. The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto. What a change of mood we're in for!! And as far as I'm concerned ... not a moment too soon.

It's still a darned impressive sight to see all this celestial display in Scorpio ... even if Venus has rushed on ahead to keep her date with the lusty Sagittarian centaur. And next month with the sextet in Sagittarius gracing the skies ... that 9th House will be even more crowded.
The New Moon in Scorpio brings a time when major changes are on the agenda. A time of refinement and improvement is at hand, as the great archetypal theme of death and resurrection lines up to demonstrate itself in all our lives one more time. Things that are exhausted, obsolete, unproductive, ill, or depleted come to an end ... and replacements are fashioned -- or at least the beginnings of such.

One by one we're getting through these tough square aspects between the transiting cluster in Scorpio and the Saturn / Neptune opposition that has them all in such a dither. We have one more "Mars issue" after the one I'm about to describe to get behind us -- the square to Saturn in Leo on the evening of the 28th. Then it's just Mercury, racing to catch up to the crowd that will have left him behind ... skidding into the Neptune square also on the evening of the 28th (Sounds like a good night to go to bed early and try not to think too much!!) -- and finally ricocheting past that last Saturn square on December 4th.
Then, we get to coast a while ... with a holiday season much more pleasant and joy-filled than the gloomy landscape that greeted us last year when the Grand Fixed Cross was raining (At least we hope it was rain!!) on everyone's festive mood. Between now and the 28th, we've got several nice things to talk about -- more of that good-news / bad-news whiplash I warned you about. So, the Thanksgiving week-end itself should be pleasant. (In your rush to "look on the bright side" though ... don't overlook the warnings generated by these Scorpio planet squares. Believe me, I am paying attention to them.)
If you have placements in your Natal Chart near 17° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, the difficulties and irrationality I've just described may touch several different areas of your life. This indicates a need for extra logic and caution whenever possible. You certainly need to beware of your scarier fantasies -- and not let them take over making your decisions for you.

The Moon goes void of course in Libra at 10:41 PM (MT) Friday. It moves into Scorpio at 7:46 AM (MT) Saturday morning. However, the Moon forms no aspects until Sunday ... and shortly after the Moon goes void, we also enter the phase of the month Astrologers know as The Dark of the Moon ... the last 30° of arc in the Zodiac before The New Moon forms in the new sign. During this time the natural pace of the world slows down and becomes relatively still, awaiting the upsurge of energy that comes with the New Moon's arrival. The New Moon this month forms in Scorpio -- at 28° 27' of the sign ... on Monday afternoon at 3:18 PM (MT.)

This couple is a pairing of everyone's two favorite Astrological citizens: Venus, the metaphor for love, money, relationships, and comfort ... and Jupiter, the metaphor for abundance, expansion, generosity, and great Karma. Together in Scorpio, they indicate the formation of profitable partnerships, improved investments, opportunities for future earnings, and the harvesting of dividends due you ... in all the areas I just mentioned. You can see why it's a wildly popular union. Everything expands ... and increases ... and pays off handsomely when Jupiter is involved. And when the "raw materials" are things like love and money. Ooooh, la-la.
Yes, cranky old Saturn may throw some of his trademark cold water on too much joy and celebrating, since he's still forming a reasonably tight square to this happy occasion in Scorpio. But he's slowing down in his travels at the moment, preparing to go into retrograde himself the first week of December ... so his ability to spoil the fun is muted. You may still feel his presence ... like the grumpy, gloomy relative who dampens everyone's mood at Thanksgiving dinner whenever he shows up. But if you try hard, you can keep him from getting a discouraging word in edgewise ... and he will give up and go away soon. Just keep smiling!
