Mercury in Capricorn sextile Uranus in Pisces

Also, Mercury in Capricorn has recently made a sextile with Uranus in Pisces ... which didn't get much press last week since it is in many ways an echo of The Sun's recent sextile to that planet of genius and originality. But now that Mercury's "out in public" ... it may be time for a few notes about that auspicious meeting.

When Mercury is sextile to Uranus, intellectual energy is quick, inventive, intuitive, and brilliant. This energy brings moments of exceptional cleverness, inspiration, and "new ways of seeing the world." It fosters an extremely independent frame of mind, encourages you to think for yourself, and can present solutions to problems (even long-standing ones) that come in a flash ... a moment of clarity and inspiration that leaves you both amazed at your own wit and originality and wondering why it took you so long to see the light.

If you have placements in your Natal Chart near 12° of Taurus, Capricorn, Scorpio or Pisces these next few weeks may mark a time of special progress in several areas of your life, drawing in the elements represented by the additional placement and the interests of the sign and house that contain it, as well as those in this transiting sextile itself. If you have placements in your Natal Chart near 12° of Cancer or Virgo, other people or experiences in your relationships will be affected by ... or instrumental in creating ... these benefits and changes.

The atmosphere of the Moon in Virgo is practical, sensible ... and ready to get some "routine little chores" out of the way. It's probably time to do that last bit of tidying up to restore order after all the holiday festivities. And since this no-nonsense mood lasts all day Monday, ok, ok ... maybe it's time to go back to work and do some work. Or at least look busy. Virgo energy is good at paying attention to details, tying up loose ends, getting a lot of "housekeeping" done -- and every job has that aspect to it. So since Life has handed you (and all of us!) this eminently constructive opportunity ... look around. Find something that needs doing. And get it out of the way.
