The Moon goes void of course again tonight at 6:20 PM ET (3:30 PM PT). It will be there until midnight ET (9:00 PM PT).
Void of Course Moon
After a day of dealing with the upsets and aggravations that may await as the Moon in Taurus forms a T-square with its opposition to Venus and square to the Mars / Uranus conjunction ... you could very well be ready for some down-time and letting life be "at loose ends" for a while tonight.
Don't push too hard against the irritations today may offer. Better yet, don't tempt them. The Moon in Taurus indicates you're in no mood for surprises today, especially unpleasant ones ... but the Mars / Uranus conjunction suggests the whole world right now is a minefield of unpredictable twists and turns ... and unexpected adjustments.
As the Moon opposes Venus this evening, just before it goes void of course ... your self-indulgent side kicks in. Go ahead!! Be decadent. You deserve it now.
Additional information:
The Moon in Taurus opposing Venus in Scorpio ...
Symbolically, this is represents a need to balance your emotional needs and feelings of security against your desire to feel connected to and valued by other people and your ability to manage your finances wisely. I mentioned "self-indulgence" as one of the indicators ... and in these notoriously sensual, physical signs this can be an eating binge, a shop-aholic spree ... or a night of passionate -- even indiscriminate -- sexuality, depending on your inclinations, just waiting for an excuse to "let 'er rip."

Mercury In Sagittarius
November 26 to December 15 2001
Mercury went into Sagittarius on Monday ... where it will remain until December 15. Mercury is the astrological symbol for the conscious mind, one's use of intellectual energy, the ability to generate ideas and communicate knowledge, one's capacity for learning and study, and one's aptitude for processing language and information.
When Mercury is in Sagittarius, the overall mental outlook and global climate of ideas are optimistic, broad-minded, candid, and focused on issues of social welfare. Thinking shows a strong interest in matters of law, religion, philosophy, ethics, authoritative and in-depth knowledge, cultural similarities and differences, and advanced education.
Mercury in Sagittarius is known for being fair, honest, inspirational, positive, sincere, and benevolent. There may be obvious emphasis on establishing individual rules for living and teaching others the wisdom of one's personal experience. People feel strongly about sharing their knowledge, often through lecturing, writing, publishing, broadcasting, and teaching.
Certainly this is one form of the benevolence and generosity which this energy contains, as people seek not only to offer their own secrets to successful living, but to understand and assimilate the tactics others have developed - and thereby gain both a broader vision and a more tolerant perspective.
Individually, during this time you may examine your abstract values, add new and more liberal tenets to your philosophy of life, and find yourself unusually interested in subjects that broadly touch on law, religion, and ethics.
You may feel a greater willingness to seek commonalities with "foreign" cultures and unfamiliar systems of thought, and feel a physical and intellectual restlessness that urges you to travel -- perhaps literally, but at least through reading and intellectual contemplation.
You may also be thinking about long-term career goals that will require more knowledge and expertise than you have presently. You may seek "more education" ... whether through additional academic or professional training or through projects carried out in self-directed study. You will give time to gathering knowledge you can later use (and offer) through your public life -- even if only in the way you communicate what you know and the way you view your work.
Under stress, this energy combination indicates that communication styles and overall thinking become pretentious, hypocritical, dishonest, undisciplined, dogmatic, and offensively zealous - with a definite tendency to make promises and commitments one is eventually unwilling or unable to keep.
This year, there is an incredible amount of stress to this position, depicted in the close conjunction between the Sun (ego interests and self-identity), Mercury (conscious thought and intellectual viewpoint), and Pluto (transformation and revolutionary force) in Sagittarius opposing Saturn (structures, rigidity, and conservative ideals) in Gemini.
Keep this pattern in mind (although it will be available here again) ... because this configuration will be the subject of an upcoming issue of this publication in the next few days.

In other news, Mars in Aquarius conjuncted Uranus in Aquarius also on Monday. (In effect November 26 through December 4.)
Translation: The willfulness, erratic behavior, defiance, and unpredictability of Uranus in its native sign ... just got a huge shot in the arm (or perhaps elsewhere!!) by the addition of aggressive, assertive attitudes and actions. The potential for off-the-wall reactions and the tremendous desire to be at liberty "to do as you please" and let the chips fall where they may have reached critical mass.
You may adopt some new and "more liberated" rules for living in the next week or so. You may experiment with some ideas and choices you'd normally consider too extreme or too radical to implement. Your actions may be impulsive and your intentions far from stable. But this may add its own special flavor of excitement to your life. Especially if you have any points at all in your Natal Chart near 21° of any sign.

Mars conjunct Uranus in Aquarius
Late November to Early December 2001
As noted a few days ago, Mars in Aquarius is intent on independent action ... and with the upcoming conjunction to Uranus today, the headstrong insistence of this energy to get what it wants immediately and by whatever means needed is undeniable.
Uranus in Aquarius by itself represents a tremendous emphasis on personal independence and honoring the uniqueness of the individual. It is insightful, idealistic, and given to high-flown humanitarian notions that can be a little hard to take (and harder still to implement) even when it's on its best behavior.
Inflamed, corrupted and stressed as it is now, the energy of Uranus in Aquarius becomes eccentric, erratic, seditious, impractical, insubordinate, and unpredictable. (And is that ever an understatement!!)
With this energy in the sky right now, the "atmosphere in the world" indicates the greater likelihood of self-indulgent or destructive behavior where communal property and joint monies are involved ... often with a distinct impatience or impulsiveness associated with the decisions. It suggests actions that have revolt and defiance as part of the mix, and behavior that maybe highly unusual or out of character somehow ... as if a powder keg has been waiting ever so long for someone to light the fuse and let it blow!!
There is an emphasis on ruthlessness and even cruelty -- possibly from someimpetuous reaction that just gets wildly out of hand. There is also a willingness to obliterate relationships and assets rather than relinquish control over them.
It can also describe a time of intense, short-lived, explosive, and "unusual" infatuations. People may want "intimacy" but on their terms.
Often Venus square to Uranus indicates a time when relationships come apartquickly (and sometimes spectacularly) and with both planets in fixed signs, (Scorpio especially being well known for holding grudges, nursing desires for vengeance, and harboring simmering fury) ... resentments with long, complex, and repressed histories may erupt and detonate without warning.
Other possibilities with this combination include: the feeling that your independence is hampered by your need to greatly reorganize, replace, improve, or destroy something in your close partnerships -- including the partnership itself (and worse!) in some cases. The desire for passion, excitement, and power in a relationship conflicts radically with an urge to be yourself and do something wildly unconventional and liberating.
This is an energy that, once in motion, may show no quarter in its drive for personal freedom and self-expression. You can see why the word "problematic" applies.
Fortunately though, this aspect and the worst of the mood it depicts only lasts about a week and a half -- extended a bit by the ongoing presence of Mars. So if you can hang on and avoid doing something too hair-raising and unforgivable you may get through it in one piece, and can go back to your normal routines happy, grateful, and none the worse for wear. Or not ... as the case may be. As always, much of the choice is up to you.

Venus in Scorpio Square Uranus in Aquarius
Late November to Early December 2001
At 5:21 a.m. EST (2:21 a.m. PST) Sunday, November 25, 2001, Venus in Scorpio squared Uranus in Aquarius, indicating a restless, volatile energy at work in the world that doesn't always bode well for finances and relationships. Consider this possibility underlined in big, black lines now that volatile Mars in Aquarius is now an inflammatory ingredient in the mix.
Expect about ten days of super-charged adjustment between your need for connection and alliances with others and your need for enough individual freedom!! The independence issue is the one with the ball right now ... and it's armed with an amazing determination to score its own goals!!
Translation: People are willing to do some pretty radical things now in order to get enough "elbow room" for themselves -- and a decision to rework some important relationships may be Item Numero Uno on the program.
Venus, presently in Scorpio, indicates a heightened financial focus on investments, community property, joint resources, and indirectly earned income -- such as inheritances, insurance benefits, dividends, and alimony.
It also signifies relationship issues in which sexual passion may be a primary ingredient, where power struggles between partners may be intense, and where the desire to either improve the partner (forcefully in some cases) or discard the partner and seek an improved relationship with someone else may be conspicuously on one's personal agenda
Venus, stressed as it is in Scorpio now, can indicate severe and ruthless attitudes toward partners, partnerships, and jointly owned money. Venus stressed is extravagant, wasteful, self-indulgent, jealous, demanding, and greedy. With the sexual element added, it can be manipulative, promiscuous, vain, and vulgar.
There can be a strong urge to commandeer jointly owned money and property for personal purposes, a willingness to "play dirty" regarding relationships and money, and a lack of sensitivity (to say the least!!) about other people's rights, wishes, or even their welfare. The prevailing attitude now may be: "I'm going to get what's mine ... and it's every man for himself."
The trouble may be in the definition of ownership and personal property. What one wants ... may not be entirely his (or hers) to presumptively requisition.
With a square to both Uranus (willfulness and rebellion) and Mars (aggression and brute force) suggesting stress and problems for this energy, you can see where the potential for extreme reactions (and a willingness to resort to severe tactics in order to get one's own way) has reached the boiling point.
I would even be willing to characterize this as a dangerous week, especially if you have placements in your Natal Chart near 21º of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius.
If you have points near 21º of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, or Pisces ... you have inborn personality assets to help you deal more gently (and constructively) with this energy, but you may still feel the effects of its urgings and impulses ... or witness some of its consequences in the lives of people around you.

Venus in Scorpio Square Mars in Uranus
November 23 - December 4
Venus in Scorpio squares Mars in Aquarius today, forming an aspect whose effects will be influential for about the next ten days. A square is an angle of approximately 90 degrees -- and planets which aspect each other in this way indicate a time of uncomfortable adjustments between two competing areas of life or signify irritations between two conflicting inner impulses or needs.
Venus in Scorpio signifies relationships in which sexual passion may be a primary ingredient, where power struggles between partners may be intense, and where the desire to either improve the partner (forcefully in some cases) or discard the partner and seek an improved relationship with someone else may be conspicuously on one's personal agenda.
Mars in Aquarius signifies a time when one's ability to act independently is a paramount interest, when personal eccentricities and priorities may color ambitions, when a willful insistence on doing things your way may cause friction, and when one's choices are slanted toward fulfilling long-range dreams and ideals.
You can see some of the conflicts between these energies just from that description, but Venus / Mars squares are notorious for denoting jealousy, a failure to take the partner's needs into account in relationship decisions and financial choices, a willingness to fight dirty, or to win by whatever means are necessary in order to have one's own way. When both partners take this position, things can get pretty ugly.
Individually, this can mean a time when the desire to maintain certain "appearances" in your self-presentation can cause conflict among family members or aggravations in your private life -- perhaps because you insist that your relationships and partners change in order to suit your requirements of them now.
Your need to exercise control over finances -- especially jointly owned property or communal money stirs up trouble at home, possibly because you don't feel you have enough freedom to do as you please financially or because family requirements limit the latitude you might otherwise enjoy. A desire to have both more power in your relationships and more independence in your private life and family situation is a recipe for fireworks just waiting for someone to light the fuse.
A certain defiant independence in your self-presentation ... and your willingness to pursue personal goals regardless of what others in your world may want ... may conflict now with professional relationships and your "public image." You may be looking for better support from the people in your career and public life ... and your open willingness to ditch what exists now and replace it with something else probably won't win you many friends.
You are working to establish new arrangements in your use of authority in relationships and your ability to act on your own. So is everybody else. As I said, it will take about ten days to set these new boundaries ... and in the meantime, a little patience could be a real blessing.

Sun in Sagittarius
The Sun represents your ego, your basic sense of yourself. The sign it occupies in the Zodiac at any given time tends to focus your ego and interests on certain "generic matters" represented by the sign itself. You are also more likely to experience and express the personal characteristics represented by the sign involved.
The Sun moved into Sagittarius late last night, or very early this morning, depending on where you are in the country -- or the world. With the Sun in Sagittarius, people use their personal energy more charitably, openly and honestly than they may at other times.
... content deleted ...
Individually, you may feel a greater sense of intellectual restlessness, a desire to take in more knowledge and understand life on a greater scale in the coming year.
During this time your levels of generosity and tolerance may naturally rise ... but this year, especially, you may find yourself bumping hard against overly conservative opinions, entrenched ideas, unbending intellectual positions, judgmental attitudes, and inflexible views in other people -- especially people in positions of authority powerful enough that you have to pay attention to them.
A bold new revolutionary mindset regarding collective laws and religious philosophy is gradually working its way into the social fabric ... and this tension represents the "growing pains" of that process. Again, individually, this challenge will eventually break down your own long-standing prejudices, outmoded beliefs, and rigid "rules," some of which you may have staked your security on for decades.
The next thirty days may not be too comfortable, but they will be interesting ... and they will change you (and others around you, too!) for the better -- eventually. It's the time lag implied by that word "eventually" that can be aggravating!

In other news, the Moon is void of course most of the day today. (2:37 a.m. Thursday morning EST ... 11:37 p.m. Wednesday night PST until 4:52 p.m. Thursday EST ... 1:52 p.m. PST.) In a way, this is perfect for a holiday celebration with friends and family ... where you aren't planning anything earth-shattering or crucially important. If you can retain your sense of humor and just drift with the lazy energy this aspect brings to the day ... you'll be just fine.
The void of course Moon is a phenomenon well known to astrologers where nothing worthwhile gets done, things you start fizzle out, nothing goes as planned or expected. The energy of life is unfocused, at loose ends, and adrift.
It can be a marvelous day for daydreaming, creative meditation, open-ended therapy, socializing, or self-examination, but solid results and concrete accomplishments just aren't on the agenda. It's a day tailor-made to reminisce, work crossword puzzles, pay bills, catch up on routine chores, take a nap, or watch television and snack on everything you can lay your hands on.
If you are unfamiliar with the muddled, fuzzy energy of this phenomenon, a more detailed explanation is available at the link below.
