For about two hours of every day, the sign of Capricorn rises on the Eastern horizon. In Astrology, events (and births) that occur during that time have (surprise, surprise) Capricorn Rising in the horoscope. This time of year, Capricorn Rising occurs near sunrise ... because the Sun always rises in its own sign. During Cancer, Capricorn Rising occurs near sunset.

If you were born with Capricorn Rising in your Natal Chart, the benefits of this serious, practical, self-controlled energy are part of your character, in addition to the qualities of your Sun Sign.
