Sometimes when kids have been together too much, they get grumpy and fight, or just generally don't get along. That's when parents or caretakers, will give them a "time out." They may sit them alone, with no toys, no distractions, and tell them to think about things a bit and when they have had time to ponder and learn something, they will be allowed to get up and resume playing with their friends or siblings.
We as Spiritual adults also from time to time, need a "time out." Life seems to be too much, we are irritated easily, and may become grumpy. That's when we need to take time for ourselves, alone from others, with no distractions, and just ponder and think about our paths, the what and how, we can change them, to make life better. We may only have a few hours or a day, maybe a week, if we're lucky, to just slow down and do some things we like to do.
It may be gardening, or reading, writing, cleaning, hiking, nature walks, listening to music, or any activity you may enjoy, and all the while, just talking to Spirit/God/Goddess or Mother Earth, and letting go, of our problems, even just for a short time. Giving ourselves this "Time out" can help tremendously in healing, growing and possibly receiving messages we may have been missing due to stress and just too much going on in our lives. Give yourself that long deserved "time out" today or very soon. You will be glad you did.~
