If there's something that you've noticed is causing stress in your life, and it's something you can't change on your own, ask for help. Many of us are used to focusing on everyone else and what we can do for them. This is your chance to give someone who cares about you the opportunity to help you.
Whether it's setting up a regular schedule of household chores so that everyone has a turn and you get a break, or asking for a ride to one specific upcoming appointment, practice asking for help. Most people will be glad that you asked, and glad that you gave them something specific to do – they may have noticed that you're stressed and wished they could help, but didn't know how.
When you practice this self-care habit more and more, you'll eventually build a whole support team that you can draw on, both in preparing for upcoming events and in moments of stress.
