What are aspects?
Aspects are the different angles planets form with one another as they move through the sky at their different speeds and in their different orbits.
It is the aspects -- these angles -- planets make between themselves, either between planets in the sky or between planet positions in the sky when compared to the stationary planet positions in a Natal Chart -- which allow an astrologer to see and describe the way the energies they represent interact in a horoscope, and so in the character or evolution of the person or event being studied.
That's how I needed to say that to be technically correct. But, yes, it's a mouthful -- and confusing. So, let's try it again. Simpler this time.

Once more ... with meaning
In Astrology, The Sun, Moon and planets represent different parts of your personality. The Sun, Moon and planets form angles with each other as they move through the sky -- in their different orbits and at different speeds. These angles tell an astrologer how the planets are affecting each other. Are these parts of your personality getting along? Or are they having problems?
If they're getting along, how are they helping each other? If they're in trouble ... why?
Also, there can be aspects between planets in your horoscope. There can be aspects between planets in the sky. And there can be aspects between planets in the sky and planets in your horoscope. So ... there's a lot of potential for action.

Aspects
Applying vs. Separating Aspects ---> Does it matter? ---> I was actually taught, years ago, that applying aspects were stronger than separating ones. That wisdom is still widely preached and perhaps widely accepted. But at least in terms of transits -- movement going on in the sky in present-day time -- I have not found that to be the case.
What Is a Conjunction? ---> Conjunctions are aspects in astrology where the planets or elements involved occupy approximately the same degree and minute of arc in the Zodiac. (In practice, an "orb of aspect" of 8 - 10 degrees is still considered a valid conjunction.) I consider all conjunctions to be inherently beneficial and advantageous.
Conjunctions of Neptune -- When the Spiritual Self Merges with Another Inner Self ---> When Neptune and another Inner Self join forces ---> Conjunctions involving Neptune merge that planet's symbolism of selflessness, idealism, spirituality, intuitive wisdom and profound creativity with whatever the other planet symbolizes. These two are then joined together as a unit.

Moon Aspects
* A Day with No Lunar Aspects -- Not quite one thing ... not quite another ---> First things first ---> To understand this article, you may need a little bit of background. First of all ... do you know about the Void-of-Course Moon? If so, great. Skip down and read on. If not, take a minute or two (honest, that's all you'll need) to read about it. However, you'll do yourself a favor if you really learn about the v/c Moon ... benefits way beyond the limits of this article.
Major Aspects of the Moon ---> The Moon in its travels ---> The Moon, in its travels around the earth, cycles through all twelve signs of the Zodiac every twenty-eight to thirty days. It changes signs about every two and a half days. In each new sign, the Moon forms angles with the other planets in the sky, angles which are occasionally quite significant (called major aspects) and which mark the ebb and flow of both easy and irritating moments in everyday life.

Sun Aspects
* Conjunctions of the Sun -- When the Essential Self Merges with Another Inner Self ---> When the Sun and another Inner Self join forces ---> Conjunctions involving the Sun merge the Sun's symbolism of self-image, creative effort, personal pride and initiative with whatever the other planet (or planets) symbolize. These two are then joined together as a unit. They function as a team or a partnership -- or like a pair of Siamese twins.
* What Do Sun Aspects Show? -- The Presence and Behavior of Your Inner Selves ---> You and your self-expression ---> All aspects to the Sun affect how the person, entity or event you're examining expresses itself ... and how it is perceived. If you have aspects to the Sun in your Natal Chart -- and chances are you do, an unaspected Sun is rare but not impossible -- it shows influences from your family of Inner Selves that affect your self expression.
