Venus / Neptune squares are very private & subtle. They show up in several different ways, & you can experience some or all of them whenever this energy is around. Some pieces of Venus square Neptune are actually nice & enjoyable ... even through a square aspect normally indicates stress to both planets.

Other expressions aren't so delightful -- & as I said, you can get both at once in ways that make this the very textbook example of a mixed blessing. Venus square Neptune appeals to your fantasies & imagination, your romantic heart, your artistic inspiration, your sense of enjoyment & your ability to heal your life through visions & dreams.

Neptune energy is strange, & stressed Neptune energy is really strange. On the one hand, it fuels a powerful fantasy life & invites your imagination to run wild. On the other hand, it interferes with your logic & analysis, your ability to make good decisions & deal with reality. Your ability to separate fact from fiction, what's possible from wishful thinking takes a hit.

This can make life feel surreal, vague, insubstantial. It's easy from there to dissociate until you're no longer grounded. You may literally question what's real & what isn't, but more likely you'll feel like you "don't quite fit" in this world, this reality. Neptune promotes the kind of idealism that insists "things ought to be different / things ought to be better / this isn't how life was supposed to turn out."

Neptune aspects ignite your imagination. They inspire vision, creativity, fantasies, daydreams ... all kinds of wild & wonderful mind-movies. The easy ones, conjunctions, sextiles & trines, can produce true works of art, inspiring & lovely. The hard ones -- squares & oppositions -- still create "interesting" results, if you can stay objective & look at them logically. But these are often too private to share.

Hard Neptune aspects can really mess with your mind by taking your fantasy life to a whole other level.
