Venus Rx conjunct The Sun in Aries
Very Late March
It's been quiet in the sky lately -- not that it's been real calm in real life. Honestly, I don't want to relive this past week any time soon. What it does mean though is that we aren't dealing with a lot of new stuff yet. Mostly, we're handling the turbulence and consequences of things that have already happened and have been in motion for a while. But that's about to change. Mercury and Venus are moving into new signs. The tenor of life will shift, and the pace will pick up again real soon.
About the only thing to mention here of the "stuff already in motion" is that Venus, retrograding in Aries, met the Sun in a conjunction a few days ago and is now far enough away for those effects to show. Any conjunction with the Sun is important because it influences your sense of who you are. Venus retrograding across the Sun can drag up concerns that involve relationships and money.
Here's what the conjunction chart looked like

Meanwhile, consider where 5° of Aries sits in your Natal Chart. What house does it occupy? These are the interests you're trying to satisfy with your relationship adjustments. This is also the place where you're trying to settle your $$$ concerns into a better arrangement. (If you need a cheat-sheet on what the houses rule ... here you go: The Houses of the Horoscope -- What life areas do your Natal Chart Houses rule?)
As noted, it will take several more weeks for you to work all this out -- and come to better terms with your present and future. But here is where you'll find both the problems and the answers.
I will probably get an essay up on the site in the next few days detailing what to expect from the different house locations of retrograde Venus. This assumes our power and internet connection hold. Recently that's been its own source of surprise.
(The weather here is nasty / snowy / miserable again today, and this morning those connections have been very unstable. At least the wind is calm. We were offline for over 24 hours one day last week as our ISP waited for FedEx'd "parts" to arrive to fix the latest installment of damage to their equipment. Clearly they're going through their own assessment of assets and personnel. Another reminder that we're all in this together. That fact is constant.)
Look for links in an upcoming Ezine issue. Meanwhile, here are some new ones that did get written, formatted, published or restored last week. Life. It goes on.

It depicts both the essence of who you are and how you define and reveal yourself to the rest of the world.
The Sun -- Ruler of Leo -- Symbol of Your Essential Self ---> The Sun, without which life on Earth could not exist as we know it, is the astrological metaphor which symbolizes an individual's basic personality, the underlying canvas upon which all the other colors and elements of his character are co-mingled and combined. The Sun and its meaning are the centerpiece in the structure of Astrology.
His Majesty ... The Sun -- The Center of Our Solar System ---> The Sun is perhaps the most rudimentary and reliable chronometer ... "measure or marker of time" ... we have. It is certainly the most obvious. It rises every morning ... and sets every evening. It has been doing so for millions of years. It will continue this rhythm past the time limits any human mind can imagine.
What Does The Sun Represent in Your Natal Chart? -- What is it ... and why is it important? ---> The center of everything -- The Sun is the unmistakable center of our Solar System. Likewise, the Sun is your horoscope, with its sign placement and house position, describes the core essence of your character. Venus in General -- Your Inner Selves of Resource Management and Relationships ---> Support comes in many forms -- According to dime-store astrology ... the kind most people know from the little booklets they buy on newstands ... Venus in Astrology rules the two alluring topics of money and love. Like Mercury, Venus rules two Zodiac signs -- Taurus and Libra, and there is, indeed, a connection here between Venus ... money ... and love.
What Does Venus Represent in Your Natal Chart? -- What is it ... and why is it important? ---> Pink is a Venus color. -- Named for the goddess of love -- Venus, modestly shrouded in clouds when photographed, is named for the mythological goddess of love. It is often seen as the evening star -- so bright and shimmering some say it gets mistaken for a UFO. Maybe. Maybe not.
Venus Retrograde -- Realigning Your Values and Assets ---> Reassessing things of value ... -- Venus represents your important relationships, your important values, and the way you handle the things you value, especially material resources like money and possessions you need to support yourself.
Your Venus Energy -- So much more than love and money ---> Named for the goddess of love -- Venus the planet, and therefore Venus in Astrology, is named for the Roman goddess of love. That's the short definition of what she symbolizes, and the minute people hear that, their ears perk up and they want to know more, more, more. Her Greek counterpart was Aphrodite, but that's not the "more" people want to hear. Like all short-and-simple answers to complex questions though, this one is misleading and woefully incomplete.
In the Company of the Goddess -- Venus ... the Symbol of Love in the Zodiac ---> The planet Venus as a symbol in Astrology represents our sense of beauty and comfort, the way we deal with money and issues of physical support, and the way we manage our close relationships. It is, therefore, an important indicator of our personal values. Notice the "value" we place on all the things just listed.
