Until May 3
Mercury has turned retrograde in the early degrees of Taurus. It will retrograde back to 24° Aries and become direct again on May 3. Make a note of any Natal Planets in your chart affected by this passage. With planets here, pieces of your life will find helpful information, make new plans or shift your intentions to bring welcome improvements. You'll discover these between now and late May when Mercury moves out of its own shadow (passes the degree at which it turned retrograde -- 5° Taurus.)
The chance to review what you think now and shape different designs for the future will work out well. So delay final decisions until you get this more complete picture of what's going on and what you're really working with. Anything that just "can't wait" a few weeks will be something you'll have to redo soon ... so keep that in mind.
Prepare to learn new facts, correct misunderstandings ... and change your mind about some essential Taurus / Aries-ruled, Taurus / Aries-house-based issues. While this will be helpful eventually, it may not be comfortable in the meantime.
So, here's the schedule of what's happening when.
Mercury retrogrades from
5° Taurus back to 24° Aries.
It goes direct on May 3.
It passes out of its own shadow on May 20.
Mercury retrogrades next starting
August 12 in mid-Virgo.
More on this as things develop.
Count on it.

Don't Govern with Bad Intelligence -- Knowing what Mercury Retrograde Means -- And What It Means to You!! ---> One things for sure ... things will change -- When Mercury is retrograde, it's hard to make reliable decisions. You may not have all the facts you need. The facts you do have may change ... or your understanding of them may change. New information may arrive that puts a different light on your life, your plans, and your world itself. You gain a new perspective -- or a new opinion -- on something that makes you rethink everything start to finish.
Mercury Retrograde -- A New Look at an Old Aggravation ---> People know what it means -- A surprising number of people know the term Mercury Retrograde. More surprising, since many people aren't really "into" astrology, they have a pretty good idea what it means. They know it means screwed up communications, frustrating delays, "things going wrong," misunderstandings, misplaced items, lost documents, and inconvenient mix-ups. It's a good excuse for "things not working," so they grab that and run with it to "explain" why life is a mess.
The Positive Side of Mercury Retrograde -- The Bright Side of a Pesky Problem ---> Every cloud has a silver lining -- While the time of Mercury Retrograde can, indeed, seem like a pothole in the pathway of progress ... because of the confusion and "mis-communication" for which it is famous. It also has its constructive uses ... which, admittedly do take some effort to access.
Mercury Retrograde -- A Personal Perspective -- Rethinking Life's Regular Reversals ---> Changes in latitude ... Over the years -- somewhere without my realizing it -- my attitude toward Mercury retrograde has changed. Dramatically. Not being anything close to patient, I once watched the arrival of this moving-backward journey of the mind with dread and resentment.
This Thing Called Retrograde Motion -- What it means in plain English ---> What is this thing called retrograde motion? Wherever it's found, in the sky or in a horoscope, retrograde energy means the matters represented by the retrograde planet become more subjective as people re-think, re-consider, re-evaluate and re-build. They process experience and information inwardly. They reach an altered, expanded perspective and incorporate it into their beliefs and behavior.
Working with the Metaphors of Retrograde Energy ---> When a planet goes into retrograde -- or comes out again, it doesn't just stop on a dime and start racing at its usual speed in the opposite direction. It seems (from the vantage point of Earth) to slow down gradually as it approaches the point of reversal -- the way you slow down in the car before coming to a stop -- or making a turn ... and certainly before making a U-Turn.
Retrograde Motion -- What's this all about? ---> Reversing course -- All the planets astrologers use to decode the spiritual language of the cosmos exhibit a phenomenon known as retrograde motion. Very simply, there are times from Earth's perspective when each of the planets seems to back up in its orbit, to actually reverse course for a time, before eventually going forward again. This is caused by the differing orbits and the differing speeds of the elements involved.
The worst tempered people I have ever met
were those who knew that they were wrong.
