Venus in Pisces Square
Saturn in Sagittarius
Venus, retrograde in Pisces, has formed the
departing square with Saturn -- also retrograde --
This aspect formed at 28°.
The theme of this pattern is
Blockages, obstacles, too many burdensome responsibilities
affecting relationships, finances, sources of supply & comfort.
I've put off talking about this one for a couple of days because ... well, bad Venus / Saturn contacts are sad, lonely, troublesome ... and nobody needs that. But just ignoring the energy doesn't make it go away. (If it did, we'd all get really good at that ... fast.) And maybe talking about it won't help much, but at least we can acknowledge what we're handling now.
The fact that both these planets are retrograde -- and Venus is coming to a stop, due to turn around on Saturday -- lengthens the time we'll have to cope with this -- by a country mile!! I'm sure you're already miserable and tired of this ... but it will take weeks this time -- instead of the usual few days -- for things to turn around. As part of Venus Rx's soul-searching efforts, this is sure a protracted capper.

Venus in General -- Your Inner Selves of Resource Management and Relationships ---> Support comes in many forms -- According to dime-store astrology ... the kind most people know from the little booklets they buy on newstands ... Venus in Astrology rules the two alluring topics of money and love. Like Mercury, Venus rules two Zodiac signs -- Taurus and Libra, and there is, indeed, a connection here between Venus ... money ... and love.
What Does Venus Represent in Your Natal Chart? -- What is it ... and why is it important? ---> Pink is a Venus color. -- Named for the goddess of love -- Venus, modestly shrouded in clouds when photographed, is named for the mythological goddess of love. It is often seen as the evening star -- so bright and shimmering some say it gets mistaken for a UFO. Maybe. Maybe not.
Venus Retrograde -- Realigning Your Values and Assets ---> Reassessing things of value ... -- Venus represents your important relationships, your important values, and the way you handle the things you value, especially material resources like money and possessions you need to support yourself.
Your Venus Energy -- So much more than love and money ---> Named for the goddess of love -- Venus the planet, and therefore Venus in Astrology, is named for the Roman goddess of love. That's the short definition of what she symbolizes, and the minute people hear that, their ears perk up and they want to know more, more, more. Her Greek counterpart was Aphrodite, but that's not the "more" people want to hear. Like all short-and-simple answers to complex questions though, this one is misleading and woefully incomplete.
In the Company of the Goddess -- Venus ... the Symbol of Love in the Zodiac ---> The planet Venus as a symbol in Astrology represents our sense of beauty and comfort, the way we deal with money and issues of physical support, and the way we manage our close relationships. It is, therefore, an important indicator of our personal values. Notice the "value" we place on all the things just listed.
What Does Saturn Represent in Your Natal Chart? -- What is it ... and why is it important? ---> Saturn ... finding stature, taking responsibility -- Saturn depicts an Inner Self that is careful, precise, methodical and concerned with creating lasting structures in the world. It contains your self-discipline, your sense of responsibility and your ways of relating to authority. It describes your need for status, and is apparent in how you build a career or public reputation to gain public admiration and respect.
Saturn Retrograde -- Rebuilding Your Personal Foundations ---> Delays ... get worse -- Saturn is notorious for signifying delays, and because under stress it also symbolizes limitation, restriction, and loss, many followers of astrology consider it their least favorite planet. But I think it gets a bad rap and lots of blame it really doesn't deserve.
When Venus is in Pisces -- Your Resource Manager and Inner Partner -- In the Sign of Faith and Spirituality ---> Finding a spiritual love -- When Venus is in Pisces, people are more sensitive, compassionate, and empathetic. They are idealistic in relationships. They show forbearance, devotion, generosity, tolerance, and "spiritual connection" in attracting love -- and express their "sentimental side" in poetic, tender gestures. Their response to loved ones is sincere ... and almost psychic.
