As the New Moon arrives in Libra, we wrap up the details of doing work, giving service to others and generally making ourselves useful -- which is the essence of Virgo, and shift the focus to relationships, other people, partnerships and ... marriage.
Maybe we think we deserve companionship and quiet moments as a reward for all the good we accomplished this last month, when helping others and selfless generosity was our prime focus. Or maybe we just want someone to help share the load in the future. In any case, forming partnerships is the theme of Libra... which has our attention now.
What we can do for others
In Astrology, each succeeding sign (and house) represents the "payoff" and "resources" of the preceding one. (Each sign builds what the next sign will use as natural resources, the foundations for that sign's work and expression.) So, it seems that the more practical use we are, the better we can provide work, service and benefits for others, the more assets we have to form the alliances we need.
This implies that a partnership requires a contribution of work and someone who can tend to life's routine duties and details. This is the essence of service to others. It is interesting to note, that in in this logic, we arrive halfway around the circle of the Zodiac with the result of birth ... Aries energy ... culminating for the individual in the work and service of Virgo. And in time, partnerships bring us to the self-sacrifice and self-dissolution of Pisces, before the self is reborn ... back in Aries again.
