From On the Horizon 2018
In other essays, I've hinted that the timing of the New Moon in the sign -- whether it shows up before or after the Full Moon for that sign, for example, means something in the flow of psychological energy for us ... living our lives here on Earth. This is true for the position of the New Moon itself -- whether it shows up early ... or late ... or in the middle of the sign for the year. Symbolically, this placement means something -- about what to expect in the coming weeks ... and where you are on this segment of life's journey.
New Moons forming early in the sign show the beginnings of cycles, new developments and opportunities, new projects and things just getting underway. New Moons near the middle of their signs shows ongoing development, continuing maturity, things "coming along" toward completion.
So -- obviously -- a New Moon that forms near the end of a sign show that a cycle of learning and growth is finishing up. Things are reaching an end. It's a month to add final details, make last minute adjustments ... and prepare to move on. The closer the Lunation forms to the end of the sign ... the closer to the end we are to the end of this growth cycle.
