The New Moon in Virgo
From Sep 2002*
The New Moon in Virgo occurred Friday night, with the quiet lack of fanfare for which this industrious sign is well-known.
The New Moon in Virgo brings a double-dose of concern with work ... with an emotional commitment to getting things accomplished, clearing the decks of all extraneous clutter and loose ends, turning in a job well done, and generally taking care of business.
This is a conscientious and painstaking Earth energy that loves to stay busy -- and doesn't need to hog the spotlight the way some of the Fire signs do. In fact, Virgo's need for focused public attention is minimal ... almost shy in its unobtrusiveness, unless, of course, you're not living up to Virgo's standards or doing your own work in the meticulous, fussy, detail-conscious fashion Virgo prefers. Then, by golly, you'll hear about it.
With its reputation for being grounded, concerned with practical business, and following schedules and established routines, Virgo does have an agenda going that some of the less-structured signs can find grating and critical. But in this phase of the creative cycle there has to be stern emphasis on common sense, realistic strategies, getting all the little things of daily living attended to, and applying liberal amounts of elbow grease to the work at hand. Usually there's plenty of it to go around.
Wherever this lunation at 14° of Virgo falls in your chart, there will be a gap ... waiting for you to fill it. So take your place at the work station and let's see what you can get accomplished between now and next month when the much more sociable and fun-loving New Moon in Libra tells you it's time to take a break. (You won't hear Virgo energy utter those words. Nosiree-bob.)
And with the close square to Pluto grinding its heel down on a need for changes and improvements in the area of life 14° of Sagittarius occupies in your life ... you may not even get time out for lunch!!
