Venus, the astrological metaphor for relationships and money, moved into Leo in the wee hours of Friday morning. When Venus is in Leo, people look on relationships as extensions of themselves more than at other times. They emphasize personal charisma in the methods they use to attract love - and they express their romantic impulses in exuberant, magnanimous, playful and flamboyant gestures.
They want very much to be the center of a lover's attention - and are persistent in their determination to be noticed.
With Venus in Leo, people are unusually aware of the love, relationships, and other outlets for pleasure in their lives - or the lack thereof. They are also rather fixed on "money and possessions" as indicators of who they are and look to these things both for ego strokes and as resources to show their affection to partners.
Under stress, efforts to be "popular" and hog the spotlight in relationships are pronounced. Personal needs are dramatically and arrogantly promoted. A self-centered, childish style of participating in partnerships emerges and personal vanity involving both love and money causes problems.
* Articles in the extensive series "Things to Know About" are constructed from information originally published in Step-by-Step, our Premium Members several-times a week Astrology Ezine. This Ezine has been continuously published since late November 2001. The material is published here mostly for my convenience. It is not intended to be finished, organized, polished or even complete. Some of it may be notes that don't even make a lot of sense, but you're welcome to look at it.

That's the short definition of what she symbolizes, and the minute people hear that, their ears perk up and they want to know more, more, more. Her Greek counterpart was Aphrodite, but that's not the "more" people want to hear. Like all short-and-simple answers to complex questions though, this one is misleading and woefully incomplete.
