Partnership and assets
Venus in astrology is about the experience of shared support and comfort. It's about pleasure and enjoyment. It's about partnership and alliances -- including marriage. It's about the judicious management of possessions and material resources -- physical assets and income. Venus rules two signs -- earthy, practical, acquisitive Taurus and companionable, harmony-loving Libra.
In the common shorthand that reduces everything down to basic elements to explain it quickly, Venus presides over love and money. And yet like all concepts that reach for too much simplicity and shortness, Venus symbolizes so much more.
All kinds of connections
Along with marriage and all manner of legal partnerships, Venus is involved with emotional connections and close friendships, public relations ... and all relationships you either enjoy or have to pretend you enjoy for the sake of courtesy. Notice how wide a net that casts.
Ideally, you get along with the people in your Venus-ruled relationships, and they with you. But all human connections have their bumpy moments, no matter how many hearts and flowers you throw into the mix. And not everything in human commerce can depend on a handshake and a hug. That's why the "legal contract" part of life's business is also ruled by Venus.
Business partnerships are part of this mix. So are teamwork projects and the people who help you run them -- people whose work stands on equal foot with and in equal importance with your own. Venus in her Libra clothing is all about equality and parity, fairness and justice.

And the wise use of assets
In the more physical and material interests of Taurus, Venus is about pleasure reached through the five senses. Here she presides over beauty and creature comforts -- all those lovely things money can buy. If it feels good, if it makes you happy, if it has "value" -- preferably the kind with a price tag and a market presence, it belongs to Venus.
Here, Venus cares about physical pleasure and sensory input. How something looks, how attractive it is, how it feels, smells and tastes. She also cares about how much it costs -- both in a budget-conscious way and as a measure of luxury and decadence. Venus likes to be satisfied, but, oh, man, does she ever love to be pampered!!
Dual interests ... one clear voice
Venus teaches us about love and appreciation -- in human, aesthetic and financial terms. Just as enjoyment comes in many forms, so does love. Venus describes both the kind of love we offer and the kind we want to receive. All energy runs on a two way street, and here that principle is clear.
If you want to know what kind of love your partner wants, look at what he does to say, "I love you." You don't have to decipher more code than that. Venus may be coy when she's flirting, but when asked to answer a straight out question on one of her primary interests, she's happy to oblige.

What Does Venus Represent in Your Natal Chart? -- What is it ... and why is it important? ---> Pink is a Venus color. -- Named for the goddess of love -- Venus, modestly shrouded in clouds when photographed, is named for the mythological goddess of love. It is often seen as the evening star -- so bright and shimmering some say it gets mistaken for a UFO. Maybe. Maybe not.
Venus Retrograde -- Realigning Your Values and Assets ---> Reassessing things of value ... -- Venus represents your important relationships, your important values, and the way you handle the things you value, especially material resources like money and possessions you need to support yourself.
Your Venus Energy -- So much more than love and money ---> Named for the goddess of love -- Venus the planet, and therefore Venus in Astrology, is named for the Roman goddess of love. That's the short definition of what she symbolizes, and the minute people hear that, their ears perk up and they want to know more, more, more. Her Greek counterpart was Aphrodite, but that's not the "more" people want to hear. Like all short-and-simple answers to complex questions though, this one is misleading and woefully incomplete.
In the Company of the Goddess -- Venus ... the Symbol of Love in the Zodiac ---> The planet Venus as a symbol in Astrology represents our sense of beauty and comfort, the way we deal with money and issues of physical support, and the way we manage our close relationships. It is, therefore, an important indicator of our personal values. Notice the "value" we place on all the things just listed.
